Not only has this been done before, but this should really go in the survival pictures thread anyways. New threads are meant to be used to discuss new ideas for Alpha, to discuss problems and solutions,to show off large scale creations, and to help people discover new things that can be done in Alpha, a new thread shouldnt have minimal text and 2 boring pictures, Im sorry, but please read the forum rules before posting a new thread.

I set up a large block of TnT in a main room, hide the redstone trail, empty my vault , tunnel under my base, and wait until i think they have broken into my empty vault, at which time i will detonate my TnT, move up, finish off any survivors, pick up what blocks are floating around after the explosion and move on

just a thought... i know that you prolly wont need this as an actually practical idea, but for defens, split the city into fourths with lava, and the lava rivers run to a circle around the main castle? make the bridges easily destructable and any assaulting enemies could be cut off from the rest of the city and be stuck in a certain quarter of the city until you can muster forces to go and take it back

I' will definetely help if i can get it running, right now the link only takes me to a single player map, in game name is kernath95, and, try to fix the link if you can, Hafnium can vouch for my credibility, we play on the same server together

Something that i thought was very logical and easy for Notch to accomplish would be to make every (or most)servers private, with application processes to get into a server. also, I was wondering if there was a way to merge servers. the people on both servers would lay out 4 "claim" blocks in a roughly square area around their castle, city, or cave complex, and it would copy all blocks in said square from the ceiling to the bedrock. Then, both claimed areas would be placed in an empty level several hundred to thousand blocks away from each other based on how the admins or whatever wanted it, and the level could be generated around it. it would leave some caves with some randomly flat walls, but i think if the software is not too hard to write for something like this, it could be very well worth it to allow multiple clans to merge their city's and begin nations, i know my idea may seem stupid, and i dont know if the software is even possible to write, thoughts?

So I've mostly been playing on creative or indev since i purchased Minecraft.... I want to start using the new features of infdev, but im having trouble getting started... i cant get myself to waste a pickaxe in the hope of finding a vein of iron hidden inside mountains, and since there are no caves, i also dont want to waste time building a house on a mountain that could have nothing inside of it... i was just wondering if any veteran players of infdev had any tips to help me find iron, coal -etc. Im also finding myself overwhelmed by the size of the maps, so much so that i dont really explore because everything is just too large... if any vets have any tips for me, just leave a comment
