I recently purchased a new computer and installed Minecraft on it. It runs great except for a few things. I've allocated 4GB of RAM to it also. I just got a few questions about some things.
1.) I've set my framerate to unlimited, but for some reason its capped at 60. It will stay 60 almost all the time and sometimes drop to 58. It never goes past 60, even though I have an unlimited framerate set. Any ideas why?
2.) When I change my render distance from 16 to 32, all the animals stop moving and I no longer take fall damage. I also don't receive any blocks when destroying things. All of this occurs even when it is still running at 60 FPS.
3.) This kind of goes with #2, but it doesn't seem like it renders the full 32 chunks. It seems to render around 20ish and seems to only render the direction I'm facing, since it renders as I turn my view (not sure if this is normal or not). There are also places that seem like the end of the world (which is impossible since it infinitely generates the world) and walking into it drops you into a black hole of nothing.
This is the first time I've had a computer good enough to render far distances and not lagg. I'm not sure whats normal and whats not. If anyone could help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.
