posted a message on How many FPS do you guys get when you play minecraft
I usually get 60-120 FPS without Optifine. However, I noticed anything above 60 FPS doesn't seem to make a difference.

This is the best thing EVER to happen to all minecraft-kind :D

For now at least. Mod API should be around the corner, and after that the forum is going to crash due to all the new posts praising it.

As for the rabbits, all those vague and redundant posts in Suggestions finally made a difference. I'm also interested in how taming rabbits will work, because Ryan Holtz said that you'll be able to do that.

That happened to me before. Simply re-portforward the server, and you should be fine.

This would be pretty cool, but wouldn't the flaming silk chest be a bit overpowered? Furnaces would be obsolete.

Yes, but remember, it would be half the speed of a furnace. I'm thinking that I should make the inventory in it smaller. You have any ideas?

But still, because you don't have to use any fuel, no one would ever use the furnace. So what that it smelts at half the speed? Everyone wants to save their coal for torches.

Besides, furnaces have been in Minecraft since forever, and are just as important as the crafting table. How would you like it if there was an auto-crafting table that made you anything you wanted without items AND read your mind so it makes exactly what you desire?

The mob itself is a great idea, but I can't think of any way to balance the flaming silk chest.

Finally, all those redundant and vague rabbit and mutton posts made a difference.

We still don't know how much hunger it will replenish, but TheMogMiner did say that the rabbit stew is the best hunger source second to golden apples.

Is it possible to make an aether with woldedit server?
I know how to make an aether server...
I also know how to make worldedit server...
But can I make an aether and worldedit server at the same time???
    And thx...
Worldedit only recognizes vanilla Minecraft blocks, so I don't think it would work in the Aether.

posted a message on [Feedback] Feedback on the redesigned in-thread profiles.
Currently, I think the in-thread profiles of the beta forum are a major downgrade from what they were before. I have two arguments to support this: non-centered information, and tiny avatars.

First, lets talk about non-centered information. On the live forum, in-thread profile information (avatar, post count, location, Minecraft username, etc) is centered towards the middle of the profile box, giving it a more professional look. Unlike the beta forum, were the in-thread profile information is bordering the left side. If you don't get what I mean, here is a comparison:

    Beta forum:

    VS

    Live forum:

As you can see, in-thread profile information on the live forum is centered to the middle of the profile box, opposing the beta forum, in which the information is on the left border, giving it a utilitarian look. So, I recommend having the in-thread profile information centered to the middle of the profile box like in the live forum.

The other thing you can see in the picture is that avatars in the beta forum are noticeably smaller than in the live forum, which is why this and many other threads feel they should be enlarged.

Why do they need to have the though balloon or other white icons on them? I think it detracts from the Minecrafty look and makes it look too Twitterfacebookish.

This is what I proposed: (mine are the right two columns):

    -snip-

This is the best way of doing it too IMO. Really hate the new style of the icons. The OP's aren't bad but they're a bit cluttered. No reason not to just have them as a simple block or bucket like they are in the current forum.

Huh, you just gave me an idea. We could mix harcorerobot's layout (no pictures in the middle), with the new blocks I proposed above to give the icons a fresh new look.

posted a message on [Feedback] Forum Icon Redesign- Part 2
As I said in this thread a couple months ago, the forum icons are an eyesore to look at (and many others can agree). They make sense, but can be further improved, to incorporate the idea of using a relatable Minecraft block in the background as seen in the current Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube Icons. Using the same concepts I created in that thread (which are now being used), I created some redesigns for the Thread, Pinned, and Lock icon (yes I know the icons were recently changed, but we can improve them once more):

    Thread- (grass block)

Pinned/Sticky- (slime block, makes perfect sense)

    Lock- (bedrock block)

Due to my limited knowledge of Photoshop, I couldn't figure out how to un-pixelate the pictures in the middle. I know the forum design team can handle that, as they demonstrated in the Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube Icons.

posted a message on Survival VS Creative
What is the point of comparing these survival from creative? Both modes are necessary, one for playing the actual game, and the other simply for limitlessly using your imagination. This is like comparing Minecraft to Call of Duty.

posted a message on [Feedback] Just some general thoughts
I've been off the forums for a bit now, but I've come back to the new and improved beta forums and noticed lots of things have changed for the better.

To start, I'm really liking the new forum design in general. The new colors and shading really make everything less visually intensive than before. The +rep button also looks better now, as it is a huge improvement from the little "thumbs" up that it was a month ago. I'm also really proud of myself, because the forum design team used my icon concepts! (thanks, citricsquid + forum design team :D )

Furthermore, the new buttons prove really useful for quickly navigating the forums, and fit in with the new design scheme very nicely.

What are your computer specifications? Are you running any mods/external FPS boosters (Optifine)? I've seen my friend get over 400 fps one time, but then his computer crashed.
