greetings! im back after many attempts (and a few sleepless nights ) I've finally come up with a stone texture which I believe isn't half bad!
I also managed to remove any tiling errors (any large ones at that) from the texture, it is however 64x64 so it took me ages but I think I pulled off a "secret of mana" feel as I plan to create a "secret of mana" themed texture pack!
C+C encouraged!
Thanks again.
Stone ( by itself )
Stone ( tiled 2x2 )
EDIT: oh I made some coal ore too just now
stone and coal mixed ( want to make the stone more grey and lighter but don't know how)
(and I put the textures into an old js pack so don't hassle about"stolen textures blah blah blah)

You never fail to impress, those are really stunning, it's a shame they won't be used for anything. Would you be so kind to share the full color palette you used? The colors are really appealing.
I didn't make a palette beforehand, but those are almost all the textures I made so that's all the colors I used.
Also this isn't related to Minecraft, so I'll put it in a spoiler, but for those curious I have a screen of a game I am making all by my lonesome. Still needs a year or more of work though.

Levaunt posted a message on Texture Artists' UnionA while ago I was working on a Sci-Fi adventure map, and accompanying texture pack. It's clear now I'm never going to work on anything again, so I may as well show off the stuff so it doesn't go to complete waste.Posted in: Resource Pack Discussion

samohtj posted a message on Texture Artists' UnionI made a few changes to that inventory screen. I made it just a touch darker, and added a slight blur.Posted in: Resource Pack Discussion
I tried adding a gradient or similar un-detailed surface, but I didnt' like the way it looked.
EDIT: Whoops, forgot to crop. -

Should try it out in 64x, I think it could do with having slightly smaller lumpy bits (not really sure what they're called). Also as for the leaves, they tile well on the actual png but in-game with the lighting they look a little messy. I think I'll refine them a little more tomorrow though, I got plenty of time now. I also made my cobble a little less angular and brick-like so it should actually look like a cobble texture now too (although still a refined cobble more than anything).
Working in 32x32 and with a palette made me feel cramped, so I decided to do a random 128x128 version, with a full palette I can make rust. This isn't for the contest, but is just me trying to get an idea out of my head because I want to do it but can't with my resolution and palette.
But that isn't relating to the contest. On topic: I got all ores and minerals done. I'll post them shortly. -

Steelfeathers posted a message on The Alpha Pack Challenge- Winners Announced!Fantastic idea. There are waaaay too many terrain textures by this point. I might give this a try, if I can pull myself away from Skyrim (again).Posted in: Resource Pack Discussion - To post a comment, please login.

Domini Ex Machina is a wip mod wich is going to be about robots wich can can be controlled by a control pod(similar to the avatar movie), or you will be allowed to get inside the of the robot and control it from there.
The mechs will have an energy sistem. When a mech runs out of power you will be able to turn it into a block and load it in a load station( ic2/buildcraft energy will work too).
Also, we need more people in the team( especialy coders). So if you want to make part of this team you can apply using the comments.
