Thanks for the reply man! You mean I should go looking for a dungeon with a monster spawner of the spider type? I dont think thats effective, il do some research Regards
Heya Kastrel, love your science take on minecraft!
I recently built a mobtower with the sole purpose of spawning spiders(string = wool = happiness).
Im having a hard time making it efficient though, the spawning bit of it is perfect(sick amounts of spiders) but the killing bit is inefficient, would you want to help me? Possibly taking all the credit?
I tried making a video once . . . it didn't work. I don't feel like paying for video editing software, and the free ones just didn't seem to work for me. Sorry.
I believe the farm itself is on level 11, so making a second floor would be a no-go. I can't go deeper unless I want smaller slimes. Always good, though. The chunk that the slimes can spawn in take up about the entire 30 blocks lengthwise, and about 6 blocks outward to the other wall. I could expand it the other way, see if that helps. There are a total of 4 chunks in the room itself.
Need help with slime farm. :F The room is 30 long, 15 wide, and 6 high. Nothing spawns. I used the "Check your chunk if slime can spawn blah" tool, and there is a chunk in there that can spawn slimes, but nothing spawns. It is lit up, and nearly all nearby caves are lit up aswell. I stood at the top of the shaft for a few hours afking to see if anything would spawn, but nothing. >_...
Anyway, hi. xD
