Shelob how good are you at basic animations? In comparison to this:

It's not the best video out there for this mod

why? I'm also assuming you've been the ever diligent reporter for the most pointless things?

We should've specified beforehand, when we ask what you as fans would like to see in the mod, we do not at all want animal suggestions. Most of you remember my big bold colored request to stop all mob suggestions. We're not illiterates who can't look up dinosaurs or follow the latest in paleontology, it's annoying and unhelpful when people ask for more animals, they take time to model, animate, and simply just code by looking at our models it should be clear how much effort it takes to make them.

Actually I'm going to repost this post:

Guys please stop asking us if we'll add this dino, or that reptile, or any animal for that matter

We already have a set list for JurassiCraft 2 that we'll be adding, any more mobs and it will be too much for our animators

We would greatly appreciate it if you gave us actual ideas on how to overhaul our fossil finding system, suggesting new and realistic cloning methods, possible animations, dna extraction, taming and player-dinosaur relationship, and realistic ai.

We do really appreciate the enthusiasm that you as fans have shown us, and the fact that so many people play the mod and enjoy it partly drives our ambition to keep improving the mod to become the number 1 dinosaur mod if not the number 1 Minecraft mod

Again please direct your enthusiasm to give us new ideas on the mechanics behind the dinosaurs of the mod.

    -JC Team
This isn't meant for those of you who have been giving brilliant suggestions about the mechanics and whatever isn't asking for this animal or that animal :) .

That's a good way to put it. I'm pretty sure ever since JC, (Or as it was known, F/A: JP edition.) and eventually IAT, (both of which hold fantastic concepts.) there has been a sudden influx of dinosaur mods. Pouring out of peoples heads into lines of Java like water from a shattered mosasaur cage. However, most of these mods are really just ideas that never get realized. (I apologize in advance to those I may have offended while speaking the brutal truth.)

except there are almost never any lines of code, and most mods try to attempt what JC has already done. They include the words unique and original either in the title and/or the description, yet what they propose and aim to do is not remotely new.

He probably just took the Stego model and make the head look like Triceratops and it probably didn't take an hour to make the Tricaratops head.

That's exactly what he did. Making a model for the JW hybrids is easy. you copy and paste parts onto different models.

While I respect modders like you guys for taking time out of your days to make cool stuff like this it's when modder get an attitude like this in retaliation that you become no better then the people complaining... it takes two to tango and the way you made it sound is since your making this mod that everyone must automatically respect you(most likely that's not what you meant but that's the vibe I personally got from it)
I myself think it's not the mod content that makes the mod but the team or individual working on it since better teams produce better content and are more likely to listen to the little community they gathered... please don't become arrogant like some other mods do after becoming popular, you guys are cool as you are currently and know your limits thus get better content out. I can name a few that did from various mod communities from both Minecraft and other games and the "flames" were slowing down development until those mods practically suffocated since no one wanted to deal with the developer when a new bug is encountered.

Also the not making money for your efforts argument is obviously not 100% true since you have already said you make $131 a month. I honestly can't think of anything to use that cash on when it comes to "useing the patreon money for modding purposes" besides getting new computer parts to replace faulty parts or buying a modding program here or there as needed(which you shouldn't need since everyone uses Eclipse now and days). In all honesty, that money is most likely going towards living purposes and the occasional recreational activity so you don't get burned out, meaning this mod is technically not a "hobby in your freetime" since your getting an income and the only reason it would help like you said is living expenses due to less work hours for more time to work on the mod.

I may be wrong so feel free to correct me since im attempting to look at this from an unbiased standpoint, maybe theres something else you use the money on to help your guys mod? Anyways, please don't get hostile with any replys or corrections since im just pointing out what I observed and don't mean any harm.

Shoot, the fact you are making any income at all from a minecraft "addon that utilizes the base game to operate" is acctually kind of confusing since it's illegal according to the Mojang EULA, please correct me if they changed the EULA recently to allow modders to do this since I haven't checked up recently and im honestly curious if it's legal now o.o

Anyways, keep up the good work!

EDIT: Dang, this is a massive wall of text and I don't got thime to format it anymore D:

We tend to keep our emotions and opinions about what you guys say between ourselves and to ourselves, but when users start acting and showing entitled attitudes over things that are not necessary for a mod's development or don't fit(not saying that the wiki doesn't) or a clear explanation is present as to why something is or isn't, we speak out. Don't expect a polite and kind response when we're given those kind of comments, it's demeaning and insulting to the hours we put in. Yes we do demand a little respect and some patience for sacrificing our free time, it makes us feel good about what we do.

Yes it is 100% true, we have only taken in the 131 dollars this last month, we didn't make as much until the beginning of the month. Either way none of the money has gone to personal use. It's clearly stated on patreon as to what the money will go to. The money will go to websites, forums, wikis, public servers, promotional material. A good website costs around 11 bucks a month, a good logo costs 50 to make, wikis and forums come at their own cost, good servers can cost around 35 a month, with 2 ports of JC2 you'll be getting 2 public servers, and there's other mod expenses that might come along. It all hits a bit above 100 a month

Donations and any form of income is 100% legal from the mod. We reserve the right to do anything with it so long as it does not give one player an advantage over another in terms of gameplay.

    1. Only gyrosphere will get the pixelmon treatment, because it's looks ungainly and ugly when it looks all minecrafty.

    2. @blitzskype and fiskobiscuitboy, sure koc I Rex looks slightly more ferocious, but it doesn't in the slightest look accurate to the actual indominus, the jurassicraft indominus has over 300 parts already and a massive texture map, the koc indominus has many many more parts, having a 16bit texture and lots of parts does not mean that there won't be any lag, in fact it means far more lag than any model could ever make. Especially because koc has plans to animate it as well, MC will freeze upon spawning it.

3.koc has no business trying to emulate us in any way shape or form, they want to become a dinosaur mod? Sure but don't say one thing and then try to become a jurassic park without even making it clear that it's their intentions in the first place. There are plenty if other franchises and bases to use.

    4. Indominus will be very tough to get, and it's not something you can get with just jurassicraft alone.
