Anybody else agrees ? (I`m asking the people with slow, older PC`s, not the ones with 300+ fps) XD
I can say that 1.8.1 with Optifine is about the same performance-wise as 1.7.3 without Optifine. The only difference is that Optifine makes it DAMN smooth, and not choppy like what I get without it. I get around 40 fps with short and 30 with FarTiny (which I LOVE to use, as I can see the sky). I was expecting more though, like 60fps on short, which would be about double what I get normally on 1.8.1.
Edit: Pics:
Here's 1.8 back when I first played it, I know this is a bad reference shot, since its indoors and not 1.8.1 but that's all I have for some reason...
Here's 1.8.1 with Optifine, same settings. Notice the smoothness.
lol, you seen my stats? even lower. mine runs fine. you dont need an amazing pc to run it, just one that has at least a decent cpu and graphics card. heck, my athlon 2ghz does fine paired with a geforce 6200. its not even dual core, no pci express, nothing!
and yet, i get 70fps :smile.gif:

Um, what? 32-bit operating systems cannot run 64-bit programs.
Besides, even though your exe allocates more ram, that doesn't solve my problem, it only dodges it. I still would have lag whenever I launch minecraft from a batch file, and AdventureCraft would lag as well.
I used to spawn in a heavily forested area, with wolves and sheep, every time. This time I spawned on an island, in the middle of absolute nowhere. The only things on the island were a few grass tufts and one tree.
Best spawn ever!
But yeah, this undoubtedly indicates that it has been changed.
My little laptop is blessed. You underestimate it, it runs lots of games just fine. Yes, it's a 9000, but although barely supported, it is.
As I've previously stated, Minecraft plays fine with normal conditions. At LEAST 30fps on Short fog. I can even play the Yogbox (full install) with Optifine.
And the batch file lag isn't the same as normal lag/slowness either. The framerate would jump anywhere from 25-3 fps when stationary and plummet when I try to move, and all my commands just get stacked up and release all at one time. It's like Minecraft forgets to loads its legs or feet. And like I said, it doesn't matter how much RAM I allocate, the end result is the same. So my question is, why does running from a batch file produce problems, when I can play just fine normally?
Why are you running with a batch file if that causes problems? Why not just run it normally?
I don't need to run it with a batch file, it's just that I thought AdventureCraft lauches Minecraft with a custom command or something, so I'm getting the same lag I get whenever I run Minecraft with a batch file.

Either your exe is broken, or there's something wrong with my computer. If it's the latter, I feel this may bring me closer to fixing my problem.

I got the first batch file from the Optifine thread (OP). Why is it a bad idea?
I posted my DxDiag in the OP.
