I downloaded and played this map yesterday, and I loved it. I love your awesome maps!
A few problems I experienced though - the switch broke after a few levels, and the key would remain in its place. So every time I pressed the start button, I would advance a level without actually having to play.
Anyway, after the explosive ending, I continued a recurring theme I impose upon myself in every one of your maps - I attempted to escape. And escape I did. I saw the amazing redstone circuitry on my way out, they always astound me.
Anyway, I grabbed an inventory full of TNT and set off!
I narrate my own plays of Minecraft often. No, make that about every time. It pretty much sounds like this, except I like to use harder words, and procrastinate my thoughts, often bleeding them into mundane and abstract subjects. Or maybe it's the opposite of that? I wouldn't know, I enjoy myself rambling, that's why I do it. I'm not sure if anyone else would share my enthusiasm though - they would probably say (or think), "What the hell are you talking about!?"
The first time I played Minecraft was last year, Spring 2011. And what a ride it has been! Since 1.6, Minecraft has changed so much! Pistons, Shears, Fractal Terrain, Day/Night, Potions, Enchanting, Villages, Creative mode, Melon/Pumpkin Farming, Animal Breeding, Dragons, The End!
Of course, to me, half of the Minecraft experience are the mods. I no longer play Minecraft without at least one mod involved (OptiFine).
So during a conversation with two of my friends, the subject of 3D printing comes up. Basically the younger one takes a tech class and he gets to play around with 3D printers. I suggested he play Minecraft since he likes building stuff, and the older one promptly swept my suggestion off the table by saying "No. Make something in Real Life instead." I'd like to see the look on his face when I come back with this.
Yay! I haven't had the opportunity to try this mod yet, but I know for a fact that it is absolutely mind-bogglingly awesome! In fact, since this is the first mod among my favorites that got updated to 1.0.0 (other than OptiFine), I'll give this a spin!
EDIT: Shame, I didn't see that it was incompatible with OptiFine. If it wasn't for that sole reason, I would be downloading it now. Sorry, maybe later than. I gotta have my OptiFine, no exceptions!
HOLY MOTHER OF NOTCH! 1.0.0! Thank you so much for this, sp614x! Even though I get 60 fps now in 1.0.0 on a good day, this will help me immensely, and I'll be able to play with the stars visible. Thank you again for your hard work!
It's really painful when you lose everything, i know by experience. It's painful enough for me when I die without Hardcore. I can't count the times I've had my inventory blown up by a creeper or swallowed up in lava. I've only tried Hardcore once (it was in the 1.9 prerelease), and I think I want to keep it that way. I save scum enough anyways. I can also remember the countless times I've ALMOST fallen into a ravine and died (it hasn't happened to me yet!).
Also, I admire your self-imposed restrictions. I really should do something like that too to keep myself from spending my entire day (or week, LOL) in Minecraft...

This bug has been in OptiFine for a long time. As a matter of fact, it's in the OP's ToDo list, if you checked that.
