    Hmm, so am I seeing only data=1 because of some sort of conversion issue? There are enough heads at different angles I would have expected to see 6 or 7 different values. I only see Data=1 a bunch of times, and a single time it printed Data=5. I tested it with carpet and got 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 etc so that seems to be as expected for different types of carpet.

    With respect to the API falling out of date, are there issues we can fork and assist with to get it up to date? Again, your API seems to be the best we've found so far.

    Ok, thanks jaquadro. That makes sense.

    What area would I see the Rotation value in (Notice each head is a different angle slightly).

    I"m asking all this because, while there is a tool that exist to "convert" worlds, it felt clunky, and relied on NEI Dumps in specific formats. (mIDas and mIDas gold I believe).

    My friend and I would like to create a modpack world migration toolkit and your API (as a base for loading/saving/editing the world) seems like the best choice.

    For loading, saving, and editing world files:
    • We looked at Craft.Net (Using the Craft.Net.Anvil)
    • We looked at fNBT
    • We looked at the source MOJANG posted for the NBT format (The converter from alpha to Region in Java code)
    • We looked at mIDas
    • We then found your Substrate and NBT Explorer.

    We made the furthest progress in proof of concept with your API.

    Interesting, It finds 144 (I should have checked that I apologize). Apparently 144 is "Mob Head" per this random minecraft Block ID lookup site: http://minecraft-ids...medgecombe.com/

    And this site shows the blocks twice, once as 144 and once as 397.

    So I guess the question I have is, why does it show as 397 and 144 on those sites?

    Here is the blockID and Data, I get back mostly Data=1, but in 1 situation it was 5
    Skull: ID=144 Data=1
    Skull: ID=144 Data=5

    I placed 6-10 blocks at different angles to see if it changed the block data or something. (Ignore obsidian, that was a test of Substrate to see if it worked as an API)

    How would one find a Skull of any kind (397 or 397:1 or 397:2 etc).

    I understand these are TileEntities or Items ?

    looks like chunk.Blocks.GetID(x, y, z) will not ever find 397, since its not entirely a block.

    Getting the TitleEntity at a given location will find ID="Skull" however, I'm trying to match up the actual ID value (like the block id or item id or what have you)..

    I would recommend updating the first post. The code provided does not compile.

    1.) the less than sign is replaced with funky characters (escape sequence I assume)>
    2.) the BetaChunkManager is not found.
    3.) Chunk no longer accepts zero arguments for .save();

    OK, Sorry to be so over the place, I guess I was just continuously hopeful it was something else.

    I ran the same test (With seed "123") with Metallurgy 3.2.3 and keithyutil 1.2.
    I downgraded forge from [9.10.1.859] to [9.10.0.804] and all SORTS of ores are showing up. Its like I remember it.

    So, you are correct, something after 8.0.4 (Just the last version I was on before upgrading), is causing this.

    Confirmed.

    Downgrading from 3.2.3 to 3.2.2 alone didn't solve it.

    Changing from [KeithyUtils_1.2.zip] (internal zip folder date 7/16/2013) back to [KeithyUtils_2.1.zip] (internal zip folder date 7/12/2013) fixed it.


    I noticed right away I found 6 different ore veins within 3 mins of looking in creative mode down the first mine shaft, including a few rare ones.

    It would take me 20 times that with the current version. (I tested last night with M:3.2.3 and KU:1.2 and found that with 6 quarries to bedrock, only 6 sulfar, and 1 zink, nothing else. Thats a bit odd.



    EDIT:

    Ok, I did some more testing.

    Galacticraft seems to be altering the ore that is generated.

    I used the same seed (just used 123) with and without galacticraft and (3.2.2 metallurgy).

    Whever Zink is, silver spawns. Wherever Silver is, Zink spawns.
    Wherever Promethum is, Copper is instead.
    etc.

    Perhaps the rare ores are being replaced with coal or something silly


    EDIT2?:

    Now i'm just confused. If I take everything out but Metallurgy, I can find things like lapis, and other ores. If I put everything back except Extrabioimes to compare easily, some of the ores change (Lapis and Emerald show up as diamond in 1 case)

    Is it normal when using the same seed, for the ore to be replaced differently?

    EDIT3:

    Removed Glacticraft. Then played for a while with a friend for 4 hours doing standard mining. Found a few ores we never saw on our other server. Whatever that means or becomes. Just filling in.

    Summary:
    For some reason Fantasy do not seem to spawn in the biomes in Extrabiomes.

    Tests:
    I can find them in the vanilla biomes in a single player creative mod test. But unable to find anything in the other biomes.

    I have not done any sort of block search (Can't find any applications and am too lazy to write a program to read the Anvil Region format file and search it).

    In addition to normal mining, I have used a quarry in 2 chucks on the server so far down to bedrock (In the non vanilla biomes), and in each chunk, did not find any of the Fantasy ores

    Configuration and logs:
    Nothing was changed in the Server configs
    The forge log, and the server log show nothing in STDERR, WARNING, etc that indicates some sort of block ID conflict.

    Ultimate question?
    I don't know if there is anything based on biom that would restrict it?
