Yeah, I was being a bit pretentious when describing how things seem. I don't really get what you mean by Dinh being inactive and such, he's most definitely still around in other places (believe me when I say I've seen him).

Now, why the heck did they bring back the chat thread? Citricsquid closed it down last I saw, to which people migrated to an off-site version of the chat thread. Now it's been back for two years now, and I only just noticed.

I just want to say: Welcome to the YouTube comment section 2.0.

I hold nothing against you, only the way you act. Either female or male, you're still picking at old wounds.

If you think this place is bad, you go to Youtube itself/4chan and declare your intentions. Otherwise please don't act like you did a few days ago, let alone hold grudges. Stop it.

    Team Fortress 2 I never won a game .. i just die .

    That's how we all start.

Tips from a guy who averages 3 dominations and a 3:1 KD ratio:

    • DON'T stand still during a confrontation against the enemy. The last thing you want is to be juggled or quickscoped. There are times where it is acceptable however, such as sniping and if you feel your aim is bad.
    • Priorities matter: For example, ALWAYS TARGET THE MEDIC. It's common sense to kill the healer in EVERY game, but in this case he can quickly screw your team over and be a wall/crit-storm/health fanatic/shield.
    • ALWAYS check for spies. Running back to spawn? Dump your ammunition into corners. Make that a thing, like pre-firing in CS:GO. And unlike CS:GO, you usually have a surplus of ammunition, so better safe than sorry really. Do be cautious if you see a team-mate acting suspiciously (i.e. a team-mate who doesn't match up to their class on the leader-board, or a Scout running slowly without the Baby Face's Blaster)
    • "Jack of all trades, master of none... better than a master of none." You CAN stick to just one class, but it doesn't bode well if your team is made up of the class you picked. Try to use every class while also experimenting with their play-styles; you may find something weird that you like (i.e. Force-a-Nature Scout, or in my case Stock Scattergun, Crit-a-Cola, and Atomiser).
    • Prcate. Practic. Practice. Even getting dominated gives you a lesson to learn, something which I cannot express in words here. Learn projectile speeds, certain mechanics and even strategies about each map to 'git gud'.
    • Not really a tip but still leaves a good impression: get out of F2P hell and into P2P heaven. Preferably, if you still find yourself struggling after a good thwack at the game and no longer want to play, you don't need to buy anything. It just leaves a good impression on yourself if you're seen wearing P2P items like cosmetics.

I'll be blunt: if you complain about a game, you're probably gonna be unhappy at reality. JUST DO IT. I spent over 4000 hours (or rather 1500 hours says Valve) playing the game, knowing how bad I was in the beginning. Yet, if you look at me now, you'll probably feel as if you're meeting a competitive TF2 player.

Speaking of which, when's competitive TF2 coming out?

Just received a shiny Flash Fire Houndour on Wonder Trade, that has a Timid nature and perfect IV's in HP, Defense, Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed. It is also in a Moon Ball, so that is also a great plus aesthetic-wise.

Either someone's generous or mixed that Pokemon up with a Ditto with poor IVs.

    Congrats anyway.

I wonder... If you have an OC that uses dimensional/Non-Dimensional portals, is that Godmodding?

Because I like to fool with people, Id practically open portals to avoid certain attacks such as projectiles and melee attacks.

I could also open another portal that makes their attack come right back to them. Is this OP?

    Yes.

You're dodging AND attacking with portals, which itself is quite ridiculous unless you're in certain RPs with superpowers. But, even then that can incur powergaming if the moves miss all the time, and happen to always hit the enemy.

Don't play TF2. In fact, stop talking to us.

I'm serious about that bit. Mods don't like arguments.

I disagree; there were a few "veterans" on this site who did contribute quite a lot to the roleplay section as a whole. True, a few of them may sound like jerks (notably, a good deal of roleplayers seem to hate on the "Precipricks"), but you can't ignore their writing skills and such.

Strangely enough, after the "Precipricks" left, things seem to go downhill.

More like the illusion that if we followed them, we'd settle on better pastures.

...and it turned out it wasn't an illusion. Though I miss BBCode, most of us can't return because everyone else has already left. In fact, people were already leaving before even the Prepricks left.

(Prepricks, not Precipricks. I'm getting the feeling we'll annoy a few people by misspelling their nickname.)

    Quote from krazaz

I disagree to that, The precipricks you mentioned never really contributed anywhere outside of precipice roleplaywise (with some exceptions), sure they created that workshop (which they don't want anyone changing) and did a bit of staff work (which felt biased in my opinion) but they just OOCd all day in the last version of this thread and their book of an OOC. There are still many veterans around MCF in the shadows, those people I'm not complaining about.

I also feel that this "decline" is no different than the other declines that have happened all in the 2-3 years prior, it was happening whether they stayed or not

As this bias as I sound, I disagree.

Knowing them, they were always trying to improve the RP community. Whether they discussed the declining quality of MCF and their mods, or just life in general, their exceptions were basically evidence of what they were trying to do. They didn't join RPs to troll them. Heck, if anything, they were shouted and kicked at for creating such huge posts. If you look at a certain Fallout RP, you'll see what I mean. Yeah, they were definitely pricks, hence the name 'prepricks.' If anything, they're not exactly role-models; though I would agree with the apparent decline in mod quality, I wouldn't go as far as getting in a heated argument with them. But, the point is that they tried helping in certain areas, even if it appeared (and probably was at time) like they were having a 'fun time.'

In the end, they (and some of us as a result) all left. They just gave up, knowing they were on the bad side of MCF.
