    Long over do but it is finally here. v1.0 will be next and have some Ki stuff and hopefully models for Shenron. 6 Wishes are available with Shenron Currently. In the next version Shenron will be more of an entity. as of now you can exploit the fact the Shenron block doesn't despawn.

    -hopefully didnt need to add but sword hilt is made by taking blood crystal and iron and putting them in a hilt shape where the blood crystals made up the handle part
    -blood when smelted gives two blood chunks, fill a 3x3 with blood chunks to get a blood crystal
    -also ragedirt is slippery so its quite fun to slide around if anyone wants to make a video feel free just please post the link.

    A Dragon Ball. Collect 7 of these and put them in an H shape to make a Shenron Block.


    The Shenron Block in its current state. In V1.0 a litteral shenron will spawn from this block. Until then the Block will just have a gui.


    RageDirt. Has a slippery effect when walked on and has a slight glow to it.


    Blood Ore. This ore is smelted to get Blood Ore Chunks and the Chunks are put together to make Blood Crystals to make Blood ore Armor. Tools are likely in either v4.0 or version 1.0.


    Image for Both NamekStone and NamekHouse. A slight texture change will be added to the namek house so you can tell them apart.


    The Actual Namek House. Made of NamekStone and has 2 furnaces, 2 double chests and a crafting table. More sizes of the house will come later and hopefully some other (capsule) things. House Model From Slymask3- Maker of InstantHouse.


    Katchin. Industructable, Very Explosive resistant. It also falls like sand. Known to crash servers in earlier versions. Untested with the 1.8.1 version.


    Katchin is fun to work with.


    Me wearing a full set of Blood Armor, which has the durability of diamond currently as mojang broke custom armors in 1.0. Normally is stronger.


    The Blood Sword. Kills in two hits and is extremely durable. It is able to block like a normal sword.


    Janemba's Sword. One Hit kill currently, It currently has no special power (other than blocking) But Its power is likely to be found soon.

    Trolls are a fairly rare spawn and will spawn in either packs of 1 or 2.
    If you right click them, they might say, or do something!
    They currently can hold, nothing, a diamond pickaxe or tnt.

    Randomly, Trolls will build random structures of "TROLL" and "LOL" (more to come later on)
    They will also randomly teleport, around, and when you attack them, they will get aggressive and teleport or attack you.

    PAPI is used the same as you call a ModLoader method.
    PAPI.potionSpeed(mins, seconds, level);


    This will activate the speed potion and will last for how ever long you set for mins and seconds and to what level you set it to, you can set it to any number, but it gets a bit glitchy (not anything I coded in, its just how minecraft reacts) at a speed potion of level 10+, so try and stay below level 10 for speedPotion, the rest that I have tried seem to be normal.

    I've whitelisted the people on the list below.

    Test #2 will be conducted on Wednesday 30th November, 11pm GMT. One hour later than the previous test. For those EST Americans (there's a lot of you), that's 6pm... For the Aussies (the best ones :wink.gif: lol) that's 9am on thursday, and western side Americans, 3pm. I'm hoping that we can have the mine fully operational by the half hour mark. Make sure to go in and have a look at how the place is now. This is what we are trying to replicate next time. Remember, time efficiency is the key. I will give you all a little run down to start with, then we have the day to collect resources, and we dig. Good luck my fellow dwarves, I look forward to seeing you in the mines.

    1st test has been done. Review:

    Overall, It wasn't begun very well at all. The problem wasn't what most people expected, with people keeping stuff for themselves, but not working together, and listening. People all tried to do their own thing, and it wasn't working.

    Already, people have lost the idea of 'Dwarf mining" I am actually quite ashamed with how some people have reacted to this. SOME people, are making this more like on other servers... the store room... for storing all OUR items, gathered by ALL of us, has been turned into a SHOP! The STORAGE MANAGER, who is supposed to keep the storage organised, and have tools in a chest ready for people to take what they need, has been turned into the SHOPKEEPER! He distributes the items to them, and in fact, people cannot even enter, except for him! This IS NOT, a community work.

    As for how we began, the day time was good... people gathered resources well, we dug the hole, then it all turned to **** (sorry for the language) No one was listening to what was needed. We had the trunk for the branch mine, parallel to the stairs. But down the bottom of the stairs, we had a mess of furnaces etc. It took me literally yelling at everyone to get them to listen. The 2nd rule was ignored... Keep the chat clear.

    The storage room looked good (before it got changed to a shop) but was too high up the staircase. This is an easy fix. The wheat farm was excellent. It looked good, and was in a good location.

    The Branch mine, the whole idea of mining, was a complete mess. People had no idea how to do the simplest task... Even when i marked the start of each branch, somehow people managed to screw it up. This needs to be worked on. We made the branches the most simple thing, yet people still failed. I'm glad we didn't try a more comlpex method...

    Perhaps i should have expected this, considering most of the people were under 15 years old, yet i was hoping to prove a point that we could still work together.

    This is all sounding very negative, however, i believe that all this can easily get fixed up in a second attmept. The excitement may have gotten to people, and they just stopped listening. We cn do better, and i hope we do next time

    Aplications have closed due to the high numbers of people wanting to join. you still have a chance of getting in, but you'll need to provide a bit of extra information, and convince me why I should let you in.

    These people have sent me a pm with what i asked, and will be whitelisted. I've still got a few names to add to this list. That will be done next time I have the chance.

    When one who has played rpg and watch fantasy movies, you would know that dwarves are generally high efficiency miners. They do it fast, effectively, and leave nothing behind. There are many systems of Mining available for single player games, uncovering maximum blocks in minimum digging. But has anyone considered multiplayer mining. Mineshafts with many players working together, like high efficiency dwarven miners, with minecarts for transport and ores, scouring the underground for all ores to be found.

    What I'm proposing, is to develop a system of mining like this. I have a vision in my head, however, I cannot think of exactly how this would work. If you understand what I mean, perhaps we could collaborate, and put our heads together to come up with the most efficient team mining system developed to date. Throw ideas around, and see what we can come up with. Once we've got enough, I'll put it all together, and get it tested on a server, then post up a tutorial.

    The number one requirement for this system: Cooperation. A large effort like this needs to have 100% trust and agreement between all players. If one person was to keep even one diamond for himself, the system would be compromised. For the purposes of developing this system, we will assume that there will be complete dedication of all the players.

    The Goal:
    To develop a high efficiency mining system for SMP, that will gather as many ores as possible in the shortest time, whilst giving everyone a productive job. The word efficient, in this sense, is number of ores with respect to time, rather than number of ores with respect to stone dug. This means we stay far away from the complex phoenix mining

    Key aspects:

    1. Mining system: modified branch mine. More on this later

    2. Minecart tracks: single track, expanded with the dwarves

    3. Jobs for the dwarves: farmer; cave explorer, blacksmith (smelts ores, makes tools, organises storage, and sends minecarts out to the dwarven miners); and the miners (everyone else)

    The mining style:
    Branch mining with modifications seems to be the best.
    Whilst it is not the "most efficient" in terms of blocks exposed to blocks mined, it is simple and easy to follow, reducing confusion for the miners. The traditional branch mining system consists of a trunk, with branches at regular intervals off the sides; every 4th block. The trunk will have a width of 5 blocks wide, and branches will be 100 blocks long (new suggestion, let me know if you think this is better). Once the branch has been dug, instead of walking back, the dwarf will dig across 4 blocks, then dig back to the trunk. Basically, 2 branches are being done in one. The 5 wide space in the trunk allows for the larger traffic that would be moving through the mine. Keeping branches the same length is generally a good idea.

    There would be one dwarf per side, working in pairs. Each pair would stagger branches, with maybe 4 pairs working on it, and there would be teams working in both directions of the branch mine.


    Beginning the mine:
    Once the stairs down to layer 12 have been dug, 3 dwarfs each direction would need to dig out the main trunk, as far as they can. An indent can be left in the wall for the start of each branch. This would be every 8th block, and a torch put on top, to keep the place lit up.
    Since at this time, there will not be enough materials for minecart tracks, every so often, they would need to send one of the miners back with as many materials as he can carry, and then bring back more tools and torches. As the main trunk starts, 2 miners each side would dig the first branch (100 blocks long) and at the end, go in opposite directions, and dig as far as they can as a "stop marker" for the other dwarves, so they arent required to count out the 100 block branches.

    The rest of the miners would need to start digging out storage rooms, and farms, and creating tools for the miners to use, as well as making furnaces to smelt the ores slowly coming in to them from the trunk digging.

    As more materials are available, iron could be replaced with diamond for picks, speeding up the process. I'll post pictures further on to explain everything with the minecart tracks, but it is really simple.
    Once the majority of the storage room is built, other miners would come out and begin the branches. Until there is enough materials for minecart tracks, there would need to be at least one runner to every few miners to empty their inventory, and supply them with more tools. There needs to be one dwarf to sort the storage, look after the smelting of ores, and create tools and torches to be sent to the miners. Once there are enough track to start the minecart system, the runners can then build the tracks up to the point of where the miners are, before joining the miners. The Dwarf organising storage then focuses his attention on deploying minecarts to the dwarves.

    Overview:
    Mining system: Branch mine
    Dwarf jobs: divided into 2 categories
    Starting, then progressed

    -Gatherer: Farms underground for food and wood to feed the dwarves
    -Storage manager: builds and maintains the storage room, creates tools, and furnace room. Depending on number of players, there may be two of them.
    -Runners: In the beginning before the minecart system is created, they give dwarves tools, and bring ores and cobble back to the storage
    -Branch miners: This is the rest of the population of dwarves. 6 start by mining out the trunk (3 each way), and the rest assist in the creation of the storage/furnace room.



    Please point out any flaws you see in this, anything that could be improved upon, and anything that i may have neglected to say here. (gotta love a braindead job, it gives ages to think :wink.gif: )

    Throw ideas around with me, get the specifics, and eventually, we will create an extremely awesome mining system suitable for multiplayer cooperation.
