I'm very doubtful. If there is then 'external' factors would have influenced me (someone wants to help code it, and by that i mean leads without needing my coding assistance). I'm not sure what the next update would contain. I did intend to bring the Spike Grenade back for this one but too much effort was required and I really just needed to get this out.

Oh hey. Did someone say update? It only took me 2 years to make one... (8/08/16).
Well, that's it. I think I've polished this off enough. I'm declaring this the EOL update (End-of-life) since I don't intend to make any more updates. If there's some game breaking issue I guess can push another since the auto updater is working again (or should be). There's still a few things that could be improved and added. There are many models and features that are still incomplete which never saw the light of day. It's unfortunate but how some things are especially when there's only ever been a single programmer for this mod (only the occasional person that may make a little change or two). I'll see about perhaps consolidating the remains of some of the unfinished things and uploading them somewhere for anyone interested. The GitHub source should always be there for anyone interested.
Thanks to everyone for sticking around for all these years, pestering me to get this update out haha!

woah woah hold up... i am the main programmer for this mod. all the others who got partial mention of coding never stuck around for more than 2 weeks. So to clarify, I have been the only programmer. And I used to call myself a try-hard because I was new to coding. Now i've been programming for around 7 years. I just took up many other interests aside from minecraft...

Surprise! So I've been working on some much needed fixes over the past 2 days. I'm definitely doing an update within the next few weeks. I've done many synchronization improvements so performance between computers / over networks will hopefully be much better. This update isn't really going to contain many new features, but I am hoping to add in the Fuel Rod Cannon, Spike Grenade, Sentinel Beam and maybe even the Spartan Laser.

I still won't be updating past Mc 1.7.10. And don't expect me to hang around much after this update. I'm not sure how much more I'd want to work on it after that point. Just the thought of all the shortcomings of the mod currently have been bugging me so I'm motivated enough to come fix them and give the mod a well deserved stable point to rest at. I did say I'd be back so here I am lol.

Hi, I have a question that's probably been answered somewhere in these 115 pages. I searched on google too but didn't come up with anything. And now the websites down as Killerchief said. But I wanted to know the Crashed Pelican Spawn Rate. default is 100. I didn't know whether to put it up or down, so i put it at 18. Is it 1 in every ______ chunks? Is that how the spawn rate works? Please let me know. And again apologies is this has been answered before. I didn't feel like reading 115 pages lol
It's literally a rate without a quantity tbh. When lowered, it reduces the chance of a pelican generating. It's all chance really. Sometimes you can be unlucky to get none in a huge area. Other times you find 3 or more at spawn. So I put a rate on it in-case they are going mental on a world you have (or terribly rare). The method in which they are spawned needs to be revised in order to better manage their spawn rate and location.

Well I'm definitely not dead if that helps... I've just had a hiccup with my domain name http://www.killerchief.net/ so it will be going offline in around 2 to 16 days from now. It will be back likely in a new form later when i sort out the mess. So downloads will be gone too for a time.
Long story short my credit card got compromised (who knows what online account it was that got hacked!?) and I cant pay for anything not in cash for a bit... >_< I blame all those dumb websites that store your credit card details without permission!
In other news I've been working pretty hard at Halo 2 Cartographer and things are beginning to calm in terms of things i want to work on / time to spend on it. However overall motivation to work on this project (among others) is still below that of Halo 2. I still don't know when i'll come back to really spend time on this. But as i've said before i intend on at least improving the networking & delays for weapons and adding some new guns sometime in the future.

Hi there. Loving the mod but I need some help I spawned in a world for testing and went to fly around. I found a cluster of crashed Pelicans. In my config it says "I:"Crashed Pelican Spawn Rate"=100" which I believe is the default. if I go down to say 20-25 would that make it stop clustering up like this?

No, its meant to show the original textured main menu cubemap background in the visor. that's why the feature is disabled by default.
Interestingly it works on my laptop (both Mark V and VI) while only Mark VI works on my desktop PC.

What bug? That red text is an advanced feature only meant for weapon devs (its called the "In-Game Weapon Model Tweeks" feature). By default the arrow keys let you mod the values.
I got a friend helping me in fixing the server pinger. It's currently broken.
The 'next' update is not going to be till the christmas holidays most likely. I have a very busy semester of uni ahead and other projects i'm more interested in working on. Also the website is planned to be worked on.
