Seems like your advice with using MCEdit to delete them is working for me thankfully, though it'll be a VERY long and painstaking process to replace and recolor them throughout my entire world.

    Same thing happens

    -Edit-

Ok so it turns out that all of my TC lanterns appear to be waterwheels of some sort that are 3 m across whenever I start to get near them, but whenever I try to get close enough to try to figure out what's wrong, the game crashes with the crash report that I've posted previously. MCEdit tell me that the waterwheels are still TC lanterns, even though they dont look to be.

As a 7.5" gauge railroader irl, I can say that driving a steam locomotive the size of(and sometimes a bit heavier than) an automobile is a LOT more fun than watching a puny little G-gauge engine putt around. The fun thing about this gauge is that 1) its a lot more prototypical to actual railroad operations, and 2) You get to ride on them.

I WILL point out, however, that if you want to build just a mid-sized american ten-wheeler locomotive, you'd need about $30,000. <_<

Ok I get you. But let me put it this way, aren't you annoyed that if you want to play with your friends, you have to make them install forge and then this mod and all the stuff! Whereas if this was in vanilla u could make a normal vanilla server and still have a fun train ride with your friends! Wouldn't that be better and EASIER than doing all the mumbo jumbo to install forge, mods etc?

Implementing a mod to vanilla minecraft just because it looked "pretty" or seemed "realistic" is a bad idea in general. First, implementing this into the game would take AGES due to the amount of time debugging and adding new things to the mod would take since all of it is of such high quality.

Secondly, how do you think the modding community would react to this getting implemented instead of a much more useful or simple mod? Mod devolpers would be outraged that this mod, with its uselessness and little appeal to the general community, would be fit to be added to the game. Currently, RoW is practically useless on just a singleplayer survival world, and only servers with a large playerbase would find a real use for this to improve their server's economies and transportation methods. Plus, the only people that would be thrilled to have this implemented would be railfans and kids looking for more ways to kill each other. For a mod to be sucessful when implemented into vanilla minecraft, it must not only have a certain usefulness, but also appeal to most, if not all, of the community.

I know I'm a little late to party for posting pics of my railroad(or would I be early since no one's posted anything yet?? ), but I decided to post some pics of my world that I quit working on after the new tracks for this mod came out about 8 or so months ago. I built this all by hand(mainly cuz I had no idea how to use McEdit- something I've learned is INCREDIBLY useful), and this took about 6 months to make (some of the areas of the map aren't included in the pics). If enough of you like it, I could post a download for this if I get around to it.

Pics: I'm sorry that these came out really bad, but I've been getting problems running my game to retake pictures that were sloppily done. :(

The main yard of the railroad, includes some engine sheds that are not pictured here.

The port town that was pictured in the background of the 1st photo, includes docks, cargo ship, and lighthouse(not pictured).

The second town I built, includes a jail, railyard & the main locomotive shops, power plant, steel mill, and an iron mine.

A view of the railyard and shops in the 2nd town.

    Selfie!

I can finaly tell you people that my Rails of War map is now up for download. I have not made much new sins tha last time I showed you pictures. I have started making a city though, but there is no railway conections there at the moment. Just trams... Note that there might be a id missmatch. It was that when another person tried to install it on his computer, and the rails was missing. In that case you must place the rails yourself. But there is gravel under every rail, so it is easy to know where they are suposed to be. And give me a heads up if you are able to drive the locomotive. Becouse I am not, and I still don't know why.

    http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/rails-of-war-map-3150057/

And pictures of the new town if anybody is interested. It does not have rails yet, but they have trams (But not driveable...)

Really like it Doffen! Keep up the great work! :D
