    It's because every Minecraft update literally breaks every one of Vech's maps. I actually recommend you go back and use Minecraft 1.5

    That's a Minecraft bug affecting Minecraft 1.6+ (or 1.7+, I forget). It also sometimes happens in single player, and it is client-side only.

    To be honest, this did use to be the GD of map making. Maybe he's just out of the loop

    I wish it was that easy, but I've been messing with that idea for a long while as well as far as I can see the only time you can edit any of the settings is when you go to export it normally. So if I tell it to just merge... I cant check the option to turn it off as it's not there.

    The option is only found in the exporting to new map option. So I am still stuck.


    Another option is to export two maps and then importing the chunks to where you want them to be :/

    Using worldpainter to make a custom map and it has an option to 'keep steep terrain covered' that effects the whole map... to make this look right, I have to keep it on.. and that effects all my cliff faces making them all have several layers of dirt, when I want them to have a more natural appearance with stone..

    But if I turn the option off, it effects the mesa hills as well, giving you what you see in the first screenshot.

    So I need to ask... unless worldpainter changes so that painting with the mesa biome blocks keeps it as it should, is can someone make a mcedit filter that will do it? Just.. select hill.. all blocks no matter what they are get changed to a random color (that naturally spawn) strips of stained clay? Don't care about ores or such in these... just care for it to look the way it should look and not all ugly with bare stone. >.<


    You can export only the non-mesa tiles at a time and select the "uncover cliffs". Then you can select the mesa tiles "Merge with Minecraft Map" and select the "cover cliffs" option

    I personally do that because I don't feel like going into Minecraft and placing the glowstone and stuff. Probably the same deal with Vechs :P
