Is anyone else getting odd lines between blocks when close to them? It is especially noticeable with darker blocks or in low lighting. I find it quite annoying. My guess is it is due to the new texture pack format.
I am also getting chunk loading issues...
Of course, I don't get these problems in 1.4.7.

Awesome! Let me know what you think about it.
Alright, you blew me away with your stone and dirt edits!!! Fantastic job! Not only does it make caving more visually interesting but the scenery for hills and mountains has been greatly improved.
A couple other things I have noticed and love:
YOUR GLOWSTONE (are those little suns? loving them).
The latch hole for the chests.
You have those sort of unique details that you have put into some of the textures that really make this pack special and well put together.
I'm trying to decide how I feel about the new indoor lighting. I neither love nor hate it. I'll have to play with it some more to decide where I stand on it. The reddish color as you much away from a light source like a torch or fire makes sense. I guess I'm just not used to playing with it yet. Hmmm... *more thinking to do here*
I am looking forward to this pack moving forward! If you can make such a positive leap forward with one new release I'm sure this TP will become something great!

I'll keep making stuff better, but would like some pointers.
Can you enlighten me on the things you don't like about it?
I think that this texture pack is quite well done on the whole. The only textures I'm not digging is the stone and dirt (pun intended). It may just be personal taste but I find that caving or mining can be quite bland visually with these textures.
But again, the pack as a whole is fantastic. It's hard to please everyone and it's even harder to make long stretches of stone and dirt interesting (without utilizing CTM).
I love the building material textures and would be more likely to use this pack in creative than survival mode.
Lastly, there is one thing I DO like about your stone. The colors haven't been edited much from default. Why do I like this? New ore blocks added by mods don't seem out of place! Score =) =)

the texturepack author probably just forgot that texture, be sure to tell him/her about the problem!
I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt that you'd need alternative textures added for different block rotation, unless it was a connected texture.
Please wait for the next optifine update, it will probably fix your issue.

Yeah, see, it doesn't say anything of the sort anywhere. From the first post:
I use the manual method. I see no mention even in the "easy" method (manual isn't really all that hard, as far as I'm concerned) of Forge or ModLoader. So. Please explain?
Yeah, ignore them, they seem to be under the impression that "compatible with" means "requires". Optifine does not need Forge or Modloader.
Let's see, have you tried either of these to get an error report?
That first link might be a bit outdated at this point.Quote from whitechristmas
Firstly, amazing work here sp614x. Thank you very much. Works fine manually installing into Minecraft 1.5, however does not appear to function in the new snapshot 13w11a (which includes bug fix [MC-1794] White stitching on polygon edges / White lines or black dots between blocks.) Manually updating 13w11a and logging in, just a black screen appears with no further progression. Just an FYI.
Of course it's not compatible with the snapshot.

Since I got no actual response earlier, can I pose this question again? I asked why I apparently needed Forge or ModLoader, and got nothing in reply. It never used to need them, and the instructions still say nothing about needing them. It's the only mod I use, and I only use it for the extended draw distance.
I'm running 1.5, but this was happening with 1.4.7 as well.
Not having modloader is not the problem, it isn't required (although it is compatible, as long as Optifine is installed last usually) My first 1.5 instance contained only Optifine (A1), but with no issues.
Hard to really tell why you have problems loading worlds though, without an error report of some kind, or a more detailed explanation of what happens. (black screen, stuck on 'building terrain', etc?)
Mar 14, 2013cheatfreak25 posted a message on OptiFine HD (FPS Boost, Dynamic Lights, Shaders and much more)I havent updated to 1.5 just yet because I never play without Optifine. I know it takes time to update a mod and fix the problems, so Optifine's creator can take all the time he/she needs to.Posted in: Minecraft Mods

I like how it only makes the original textures and improves them. That's something I love about texture packs and is also why I don't use DokuCraft. Although you should update it to 1.4.7, but keep up the good work!
If you read the thread, you would already know that there won't be a 1.4.7 version... Tiger's waiting until 1.5 is fully released, then releasing a 1.5 version of R3D.CRAFT
Mar 10, 2013Hokay, first off let me apologise for not updating already, Uni has just started again here in aus and I was having major problems with my font when I stopped using MCPatcher and swapped to the pre-release to test if things are working. Turns out the spacing for font is hardcoded in vanilla minecraft so it makes some of my letters overlap and do weird stuff and there is currently no way around it!Posted in: Resource Packs
So yea, the font will be in the pack but I've renamed it so it won't activate unless you rename it because you're going to use MCPatcher and the font will work fine for you.
I'll be hopefully uploading the updated pack tonight and if I get enough time I'll write up some lore stuff to explain about why the endermen look like they do, what some untextured mobs will be like, etc, etc.
Mar 9, 2013I updated to the 1.5 Pre-Release this evning and a vast majority of existing RS are inherently broken and have to be remodled from scratch.Posted in: Minecraft News
1. Two high piston extender taht used two differant delays in the bottom piston functions normally, however two Gravel/Sand blocks on top to create a "door" will delete one block on use.
2. One tick pistions will no longer 'drop' a block and instead is will extend and always retract with the block (eg destorys all compact latches Codecrafted/CNBMinecraft has released) with a wtf exception for 5.
3. Double piston extenders that exist in a semi bugged state that breaks on a nearby block update behave randomly. Using an array design from I believe CodeCrafted multiple times will in fact bug out the pistons so some are not in the same extension pattern as others.
4. Randomizers build off the random nature of Dispensers are broken. On second use it had deleted the buckets contained there in.
5. A verticle triple piston extender (designer unknown) will extend to but not grab the block it should. This is not the same issue as a 1 tick piston, it is lever based on the pistons are fully extended (ie holding the block) but when turned off they do not move the block at all.
All designs, witha minor exception in changing a RS repeater's timing for the 3x3 piston door from CNB, work in MC 1.2.5, 1.3.2, & 1.4.7. Do Not Work In 1.5. Which means this RS update you're so happy about breaks RS into a nearly unusable state.
While it is true the new Notch-free deva team has no desire to maintain RS consistantcy with previous versions (they mentioned BUDs will be broken) several of this RS errors are wiping items from the world or behaving erraticcly suggestion in fact these are unintentional bugs. So I advise users not to update until these issues have been corrected.

Who cares about pandas? All Minecraft really needs is gerbils. Little rodents that live in the desert that can be "tamed" and thrown into a large glass container. Best pet ever!
I would abuse the heck out of that. And I would put them into glass containers and make gerbil molotovs.
Away with ye, creeper! Face the wratch of my gerbil jar!
