    Hey,

when will GLSL shaders mod updated for new SEUS verison and new FORGE version. that they have came out last few days ago.I am wondering.

There is no new Forge for 1.7.4/1.7.5/1.7.9, and the latest Forge for 1.7.2 works just fine.

If you want Optifine/GLSL for 1.7.4/1.7.5 you can go here:

You can use the installers for Optifine and GLSL Shaders to get them running in 1.7.4 and 1.7.5, so you can still use the shaders.

Of course, there is no forge yet, so no other mods -- back to simplicity :P.

I don't see using MultiMC 5 in 1.7.4 and 1.7.5 because they won't be able to load the other necessary classes or the --tweakClass switches (or change the launcher to launchwrapper from main)...

Anyways, both OF and GLSL have installers to automate this whole process :)

I have this issue that apparently is caused by Fancy Graphics in my case, the mod isn't working with MC 1.6.4/Forge.965/ShadersModCore 2.2.2. For some reason ShadersModCore has issues with Fancy Graphics.

If there are no shaderpacks selected (no shaders/internal mode) and Fancy graphics are activated, my game crashes. (the game doesn't actually crash but the screen starts to flicker and I have to close javaw.exe)

The only way to start a world is to either play without fancy graphics and without shaders, or, use a shaderpack, which allows me to enable Fancy graphics but causes some serious visual glitches that render the game unplayable.

    Specs:
    I5 2300
    GTX 560ti
    Driver version: 334.89

I'm using optifine as well (No anti-aliasing, no texture filters), the problem persists without it tho

    Any solutions to this?

The pink screen with SEUS v10.0 Lite is a common issue, I never figured it would be caused by Fancy graphics (or if this just happens to be in your case -- I could test in a moment), but I hadn't looked at it that deeply either. SEUS v10.0 Standard doesn't have the same issue, so, I just used that.

I can't even run SEUS v10.0 Lite on my notebook, so I use Sildur's Shaders.

GLSL Shaders doesn't run properly if <none> or <internal> is picked for the shaderpack, it acts up.

Your issue with 'green-screening' with SEUS v10.0 Standard is strange, however. I assume you can use Fancy Graphics with Optifine if you do not have the GLSL Shaders in the mods folder?

What are your Advanced OpenGL / Chunk Loading options set to? What about your MipMapping / Anisotropic Filtering / AntiAliasing options? Do you have Threaded Optimization disabled if you are using Multi-Core Chunk Loading?

    4. I dunno.

Yeah. Sorry about that. I didn't expect that you will answer my question.

I had a funny feeling. The flickering dirt screen happens most frequently on systems with Intel Graphics.

GLSL Shaders acts funny if you run it with your shaderpack set to <none> or <internal>. For your Intel GPU, I would run Sildur's Basic, or some others have recommended Mr.Meeps.

I take it you're running MC 1.7.2. Make sure your Forge is the recommended build 1040-1047 (for GLSL 2.3.12). Forge 1058-1060 caused problems with Intel systems, crashes on boot. The latest 1063/1065 work fine as well. Update if you have to.

Go to start, rt-click computer, lt-click properties, lt-click device manager, lt-click the + beside display adapters, dbl-click the Intel G41 Adapter, lt-click the drivers tab .. what driver version is it? If it ends in 34XX we need to roll back to 32XX or 33XX to get you running.

It's just a damn shame that these Shader Packs & Optifine never actually work on a Mac. I can download 'em, the .jar files unpack and write themselves automatically to whatever folder they're supposed to go to, but they don't actually work. Not for my benefit, but having to concede defeat, and witnessing the disappointment that my children experience just makes me bitter and sad. Can't understand why these things can't be made easy to use and install.

Shaders and Optifine do work on a MAC, it is just that very few shaderpacks do.

This is not a fault of the shaderpack developers, or Karyonix's GLSL Shaders mod. It is a fault of Apple & Mojang themselves.

The way Apple designed their OpenGL engine is complete crap. You are limited to OpenGL 2.0, which is why most of this stuff doesn't work.

Myself and a few other people tried forcing Minecraft to use the OpenGL 3.2 profile, but it failed miserably. If you managed to get it to launch, most visuals do not display. This is because in Apple's OpenGL 3.2 software, there is no backwards compatibility, and Minecraft was built on 2.0 (GLSL Shaders use 3.2/3.3 features outside of Minecraft in another memory space -- and then link all of the textures together). So, when using the 3.2 profile, no 2.0 features work -- which is most of Minecraft. This works fine in Windows.

I am not sure if there is a GLSL Shaders release for Forge 1040, perhaps, check the old releases on the 1st post of this thread.

Whenever I start Minecraft and choose a save file, the screen blinks from black to the dirt background like crazy. I thought Optifine was causing this problem. (lol) I only realized that the shaders are causing the problem. :(

So... Is it impossible for me to try on some shaders?

    Quote from Mochalicious

And oh, another bit of info... The Shaders Mod Core is actually the one who causes the blinking issue. I tried it WITHOUT any shaders installed into my "shaderpack" folder. And without it, no shaders for meh. I removed it from my "mods" folder and the rest of the game works fine. Obviously, no shaders!!

    HALP

EDIT: Can you please be more patient? Reposting in 2 hours is rediculous! People have lives, I have kids to get ready for school in the morning, and a job 8 hours a day!

What video card do you have in your computer?

Make sure that you have a shaderpack selected, and that it is compatible with your PC.

Also make sure your Forge (if you are running 1.7.2 or 1.6.4) is compatible with GLSL Shaders.

This could be AntiAliasing, Chunk Loading, or drivers.

This is a common issue with Intel drivers, but easy to fix.... We need more info there mate :).

Inmy there is a Nvidia geforce 9500.And amd phenom x2 cpu.Latest version.
(soryy for bad english ;) )

    That could be your problem..

GLSL 2.3.12 is built for Forge 1040-1047 (ShadersModCore-v2.3.12-mc1.7.2-f1040.jar).

I would update your Forge to 1047 and test, then 1057 and test, then 1063/1065 and test.

I've used 1063 and 1065 without issues, but 1058-1060 had problems.

I wouldn't allocate any more than your 1GB to Java, even with your 3GB of 'virtual ram' (I assume you mean swap space?). Any more than the 1GB and you'll be using up most of your physical ram, and you'll be starving Windows.

I don't know how things are going to run on your 9500. It's pretty old. All you can do is try, you may be able to run some basic shaders...

What version of Forge? Optifine? GLSL?

How many mods do you have installed? How much memory is in your system, and how much of that is allocated to Java?

After we get it running will be more questions -- what video card is in your system? What driver version do you have installed?

Can you make this compatible with the MultiMC 5 launcher please?

    -Smasher277

If there is any way to use Optifine with MultiMC 5 (1.7.4/1.7.5) than you should be able to use GLSL Shaders the same way.

The only problem is the extra classes and switches injected into the JSON file probably won't work properly.

You can use GLSL Shaders and Optifine in 1.6.4 and 1.7.2 without issues, just put them into the bottom window like the rest of your forge mods.

Hello, I have a clean install of 1.7.2, I followed all the instruction to the t for installing FML, until I get to this point:

    -- Open Minecraft Launcher.
Select Forge or FML in profile box at lower left corner of launcher window.
Or select other profile and click Edit Profile and select Forge or FML version and save.
    -- Click Play.
-- You should see "Mods" button in title screen below "Multiplayer" button.
    - Check whether everything is alright and close Minecraft.

I was able to select FML in the profile box, but now when I click play I get a waiting symbol and then the game doesn't actually start up. I'm assuming I did everything correctly. Here is a snapshot of what everything looks like:

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I'm also using Windows 8.1, don't know if this matters...

It's just not starting up anymore when I click play.

    Forge 1058-1060 had problems, crashed.
    Forge 1061-1065 all worked fine.

Edit edit: Also, should I install Optifine before any other mod?

Hmm, in 1.6.4 you want Optifine to load first (mods folder, you have to rename it to [0000]-<name>.jar), but in 1.7.2 it doesn't matter.

What kind of FPS are you talking about?

It was 13.11 BETA 9.5 that had the best FPS. 13.12 and 14.1+ are about the same.

If your OF and GLSL JAR files are ok, it has to be the way the shaderpacks are installed..

Give it a quick double-check and make sure.

If you are using the official launcher, set your profile to leave the launcher open all the time. Fire up MC and hit the development console tab on the launcher. See what kind of errors you get in there (sometimes they will show up in the dev console, but not in the logs).

Well, I've been playing with the new experimental Optifine (to get IC2 working) and Custom Colors / Natural Textures / (maybe) Random Mobs cause crashing.

I haven't had any crashing on the regular OF 1.7.2 Ultra D1...

The latest AMD 14.4 seems to have been working good for people so far, I haven't tested it on my machine downstairs (still running 13.12)...

Forge 1058-1060 had problems, caused crashing (java.exe crashed file reported is igfx or atimd).

    Try the latest Forge 1063/1065.

But, didn't SEUS' thread tell us that if you have around 100+ fps, it will run fine? Cause I've got around 130...

That all depends, some cards have higher memory bandwidth, more cuda cores, more buffers... Some smaller cards have higher performance than newer cards... It's hard to say, it's all up in the air.

All you can do is test.

    Your GTX 260 shows:
    192 CUDA cores
    448-bit Memory Interface Width
    111.9 GB/sec Memory Bandwidth
2.1 OpenGL Version (this is a huge limiting factor for you!)

    My GTX 650ti shows (30-50 FPS in SEUS v10.1 Preview 1 & 2):
    768 CUDA cores
    128-bit Memory Interface Width
    86.4 GB/sec Memory Bandwidth
    4.3 OpenGL Version

My GTS 450 shows (~10 fps):
    192 CUDA cores
    128-bit Memory Interface Width
    57.7 GB/sec Memory Bandwidth
    4.2 OpenGL Version

My FX 880m shows (2-4 fps):
    48 CUDA cores
    128-bit Memory Interface Width
    25.6 GB/sec Memory Bandwidth
    3.2 OpenGL Version

Just an example. I'm kind of curious what you're going to perform like!

    http://www.minecraft...0#entry30726014

I'm just going to test it now, and see how buggy it actually is.....

EDIT: Wow, it's quite buggy! The release comes with a Minecraft & Optifine config file, which turns off a lot of the settings.. Time to play around and see which ones work. Right now, I enabled as much as I could, and it crashes loading a world :s..

EDIT2: Hmm, not as bad as I had originally thought. Just loading up a world, and really simple stuff so far... Most of the core components are OK to edit/change. Need to check the grass/snow/rain/clouds/sun/moon/etc. Don't modify any of the natural textures or custom colors at all, it's not good.....!

Ok, back again on this one.

Again, anyone who wants to run IC2 with Optifine, there is a patched-beta version of Optifine.

As far as I can tell, everything is working fine as long as you do NOT turn on:
    • Random Mobs
    • Custom Colors
    • Natural Textures
