I removed optifine and then it works thanx. But with shaders on ( Seus ) it looks bad. Everything is completely yellow , so I removed shaders mod.

Ok thanx. I am using 1.8.0 HD_U_D3. Would test D1 , but like I said above with shaders on the game looks very ugly yellow. So don't think I will

use shaders. Don't know if it is the resource pack I am using ( Lithos ) or the specific shaders pack ( Seus ) or this shaders mod itself that causes it , but it looks terrible.

EDIT: Tested with optifine 1.8.0_U_D1. Doesn't fix the problem. Also have blanked out menu items same as D3

When I run this with Optifine through Forge I get white rectangles where there should be text

You can use Optifine 1.8 HD U D1 or D2, but not D3 (it is broken ATM).

Make sure that Anisotropic Filtering, and Antialiasing are disabled in 1.8. Both are broken as well. You could previously in 1.7.10 use AF, but not in 1.8 right now.

Best bet, is to use Optifine 1.8 HD U D2 & ShadersMod 2.4.11 for MC 1.8. Delete options.txt, optionsof.txt, and optionsshaders.txt from the %appdata%\.minecraft folder, they will be recreated with default settings.

Setup your MC the way you like it, turn on USE VBOs. Most of the defaults are fine otherwise. Do not touch render/view distance, anisotropic filtering, or antialiasing! You can change the hand depth in shaders to 0.0625, used to fix some hand-held items glitches.

Should be working at that point.

Its that thing again. I CHECK the stupid block for not being air, and then it crashes because it is air. Race Condition maybe?

    1.4.6
    - added even more Air checking in server logic

    Thx mate!

I'll check it out and see how things run now :)

You can't run Optifine 1.8 HD U D3 with ShadersMod 2.4.11 at the moment.

    Roll back to D2.

It works with some systems, Intel CPU + AMD GPU, but more ppl are reporting the error than are working.

thx but that still doesn't answer my question why the nvidia graphics card does worse. the differences between the two graphic chips is just 10-20%

Well, it could be many things.

It could be the memory bandwidth in one system is 64bit, and it is 128bit in the other system. Or perhaps the memory itself in one system is DDR3-1066 but the memory in the other system is DDR3-1333.

There are many factors that come into play that could explain this, given that both options are embedded, and rely heavily on the rest of the system.

In an ideal world, you would take the CPU and HDD, and try them in both systems to get a 'perfect' test ;).

I have a better computer than Jonathan8991 and i don't think he will have a good perfomance.

I have 15-25 fps with the shaders and 30-80 without them... AMD Radeon R5 Graphics. (It's my Notebook, not very powerful but good!)

I have another computer but powerful as the PS4 or more (AMD Radeon R7 Graphics... close to the first R9), and the game runs at 25-40 fps with shaders lol, 150-400 fps without them.

So i am waiting for microsoft to remove java from minecraft forever. hehe, that program don't use all the resources of the computer, so that is why is too slow! :(

I know that AMD cards are cheaper than their nVidia counterparts (by almost 50% in some cases), but the catch is that this is coded in OpenGL.

AMD cards do not handle OpenGL very well, nVidia cards handle it much better (where when it comes to DirectX, the tables have quite turned!).

If you were running an nVidia card, you'd see a 40-60% increase in performance for the same 'specced' card. It has nothing to do with "CUDA" proprietary functionality itself. It just has to do with code, manufacturers card design -- gpu to unified shaders to vram, and efficiency.

    I can use POM?

You can try, it is a little more intensive, seeing as the graphics card has to process 3 image files for each texture, as opposed to 1.

It is going to use up a fair amount more memory, and graphics power.

I'm not sure if you'll find a pack that does POM that is designed for low-end systems (embedded Graphics Systems -- be that Intel or AMD). AMD embedded are a bit better, but far from discrete cards.

    AtomicStryker,

Having an irregular issue with 1.8..

Every now and then when I'm breaking a block, MC will crash. Doesn't really say why, just that the block 'state' is unknown or unsupported.

It references MultiMine in the crash dump, so, I thought I'd throw it your way. There may already be a new version, but your updater isn't pointing me to go and get a new build ;).

Will try this I was copy/pasting the mod file (KUDA.RAR) instead of the .jar file . Should I copy the file directly without installing it before or should I install it to create the shadder profile and then copy the file to the mods folder?

    Quote from grimallq»

What is this supposed mod" Kuda.rar" file. Has someone been illegally redistributing shadermod+shaderpack bundles again?

Agreed, go to Post#1 in this thread, and download ShadersMod for 1.7.10 or 1.8 from its official source.

You will download either of these:

    ShadersModCore-v2.3.28-mc1.7.10-f1217.jar

    ShadersMod-v2.4.11mc1.8.jar

Put it into the %appdata%\.minecraft\mods folder along with Optifine, and any other mods you wish you use.

Then download the shaderpack you want to use, DeDelner's KUDA or Sildur's or Chocapic's for example. You will get a ZIP file. If you open the ZIP you will have a folder called 'shaders' and then a bunch of FSH and VSH files inside of that. Put this ZIP file into the %appdata%\.minecraft\shaderpacks folder.

    Should be good to go.

Don't download ShadersMod or Shaderpacks from any other source other than the official links from the 'minecraftforum.net' website. Any other packs could be malicious.

    Thanks FXANBSS

the problem is a fixed thank you very much

    Glad to help out.

I'd recommend Sildur's Basic or yShaders for running on your system.

You can try MrMeepz, DeDelnurs KUDA, or even Chocapic's V5TESTFIX2 Lite might run OK too.

I very much prefer Sildur's shaders myself, even to SEUS..

How to use the shaders together with mods from Forge? I mean having the "mods" and "shaders" button once inside Minecraft.

Just take the ShadersMod-1.8-2.4.11.jar file and put it into the mods folder with all of the other mods.

Forge creates this mods folder at %appdata%\.minecraft.

Im delete the options.txt , optionsof.txt and optionsshaders.txt from the .minecraft folder

that I can do to fix that

my laptop and I get 150 fps but I can not use the shaders for that mistake

okey I have bad luck :C

Are you using 1.8 and Optifine HD U D3?

Roll back to OF 1.8 HD U D2 and it should clear things up, there is a conflict somewhere, and Karyonix is tied up with Real-World affairs at the moment.

Yeah, someone mentioned this on IRC a few days ago. Hopefully I can get to it later this week, haven't had a lot of time as of late.

    Thanks again Adubbz!

Keep up the great work guys, 1.8 is coming along nicely!

    Version 1.0.11 released:

    • missing grass and particle textures will no longer crash the game
    • added Hanging Grass
    • added render distance config

Ported the fixes introduced in 1.1.4, the crashes should not happen anymore.

Added another asked-for feature from BG&L: grass hanging down from the sides of blocks. Pretty straightforward. Defaults to off.

Most features also have a new config option added: Distance Limit. This is the maximum distance in blocks from the player that the feature will show up. Defaults to 1000 (i.e. always).

I'm not yet sure how to do this properly because of the way Minecraft renders the terrain. Chunks are re-drawn only when there is a block update, or intermittently when the player is near. This means you can get pretty close to an area and BF features will still not show up - until the game suddenly "notices" you are in range and it all pops in place.

It still might be useful for people with slower computers - just be prepared for the occasional glitch if you set the value too low.

Keep up the great work! Amazing as always, I love this mod!

By the way, I need help, please give it

Your problem is that it's 4 FPS or that it is Dark?

Hmm, dark I'm guessing, from your post at the top of this page.

What other mods are you running, you have 80 of them, it could be any of them at all that are interfering.

There aren't any other ppl reporting the same issue, so, it has to be interaction with one of your other mods.
