Fake, but now that I've heard them Notch HAS to make that whispering the official sound they make. Fits perfectly.

reading this first 8 pages of this thread provided me with all the laughs I need for today, thanks minecraft community.
and as for the fabled "permadeath"- I say, if its actually going to follow the meaning of actual death- go for it. I would be happy for that. I love hard difficuly, but it is still not hard enough for me. I grew up in the days of gaming where you had permadeath, no autosave checkpoints, or anything like that. and because of that, I easily grow tired of modern games. long gone are the days where you spent all that time and effort grinding up to beat a certain boss in ye olde gaminge days, and then you go in and get surprised when you get the absolute crap kicked out of you. However if it does come into play(big IF), it will be on the difficulty slider, no doubt. I will welcome the return of the popular hardcore games

But I hope there's no slider. I hope there's either survival mode or creative mode. Sliders ruin it. People want instagratification nowadays and it sucks major ass. People don't know how to play games anymore. Now it's all about (pan to spongebob saying IMAGINATION) >.>
It's like if most gameplayers nowadays lose their character or get a set back in any way, they...

I've been in since like a month and a half before beta and seen one slime in a massive tnt crater in smp which jumped into a lava flow before I even noticed it. Slimes need to spawn more often if slime balls have a use.
I agree but they should still be fairly rare. -

On top of pistons I think slime balls should be used to make poisoned arrows. - To post a comment, please login.

Dang I kinda feel bad for Zhark with all these stupid questions. The three files of AUDIOMOD go inside the minecraft.jar, which you open with 7zip or winrar. and to those of you having problems with mac - here is a word of advice for next time.

Granted it deals a bit less damage than a sword so it doesn't break them.

That's normal... There are all sizes of trees and when they spawn big this happens to look like branches..

I think we SHOULD have danger in the Aether, perhaps in the form of falling (forever) off sky islands. I see falling off of them and getting the same animation as falling out of the void. You would have to be VERY careful when bridging yourself to other islands. Also Mobs should be neutral but aggressive (prepared to defend their territory) like zombie pigmen. But they would perhaps be replaced with creeper angels (lol).
I see the textures for the landscape being off white and cloud looking (Aethercloud, the opposite of Netherrack), and perhaps blues and faint yellows for other blocks. Waterfalls hang off the sky islands.

Hes right.... You downloaded the right pack correct? Not just the wildlife one? You probably just have to wait. I find they spawn near water and trees but sometimes it doesn't help to look for them but it's better to wait for them to spawn near you.
Edit: I created a new world today and spawned a pegasus almost immediately. I walled it up with sand and heard a zombie orgy in a nearby cave. I proceeded to dig underneath the spawner with my bare hands to get rid of it, then I killed all of the zombies except one which eluded my sight, I did this in hope of finding some iron in a chest to make a saddle. But no iron :sad.gif: Then the zombie proceeded to own me behind my back and when I respawned the pegasus had despawned. -.-
