I often used to hold blocks of LEGO in my mouth that I didn't want to let go off, while I assembled something else with my hands. Well, considering that minecraft building is basically virtual LEGO...
I don't like the idea of auto-eating, but I love the idea of temporary storage.
I've posted this idea before, but I made it in the form of an actual enchantment (which is a lot more fair, because not every piece of armour could have the option of being invisible, and it would require luck).
I understand having the option on an anvil, but I think that's too easy to use for a quite powerful enchantment.
I enjoy mining in strips, but when I find a cave, I set off to explore every nook and cranny of it... and quite often I'll find another cave before I'm done.
Caves need to not span so far, and be less common.
It could work by saving the last block few block at the perimeter of a loaded area, so if the player moves away, it would save the redstone's off/on orientation in the block data for that area, and when the player comes back the block would simply be loaded and the machine would continue working.
Of course, this would probably require making "On" redstone a different block to "Off" redstone, but it would fix the problem.
Really, they should need blocks on all sides (except the ones it opens travel to).
This idea isn't really necessary though. You can't make a light go simply by attaching a lever to it and pulling it, so why not have a door that works without hinges?

I think iron doors should be able to be made larger sizes than wooden ones (wooden ones cap at 3x6, whereas iron might cap at 6x12).
As long as larger operational doors can be made, I support, no matter how the result is achieved.

At first, it makes no sense.
But then: Oh damn. That poor squid meatshield!

I'd support either the block that duplicates, or the command to duplicate, but the command is obviously preferable.
The command would also allow people to "Save" their "Loadout" into a specific chest.

Full support, as long as it's exclusive to creative.

Other ideas aren't that great.

These ideas are silly.

Support. Adds fair compact wiring without making it weirdly complex (like redpower).

Totally unnecessary.
