posted a message on VoxelMap [1.16.1 to 1.7.10] - a minimap and worldmap
    Quote from MamiyaOtaru»

1.12.2 had an update along with everything else this week. I couldn't reproduce any crashes with Botania, either on 1.12.2 or Botania's latest (1.14.4 IIRC). If you have a map or server that can reliably reproduce it that would help.

Due to Mojang changing blockstates for 1.13, maps from 1.12.2 and earlier are not compatible with 1.13 and up. Voxelmap will have to regenerate the worldmap. If it is doing so from a single player save, it can take a while. You should see it get out a region or two before too long though, so if it just remains black that's a bit of an issue

If you have a Discord or if you DM me I can walk you through how to reproduce the crash, but for now I've set you a test server in which you can reproduce it. I messaged you the IP.

You only need Botania (& it's dependency Baubles) to connect, along with VoxelMap on the client (I was using 1.9.11_for_1.12.2).

I've placed a partially filled mana pool at world spawn, so as soon as you connect you will experience the crash (if not then just fly ~100-200 blocks away and it will crash).

Upon removing VoxelMap from the client and trying to connect again the issue disappears. Re-add VoxelMap and the crash returns.

    Quote from ArloTheEpic»

    Glad ya like it ;)

I agree that 1.9 is an easy port from 1.8, and I sorta would like to see modding moving to the later era, but it's not. Some modders are, but still vastly more than half of the mods for minecraft 1.7.10 have no 1.8 versions at all, let alone 1.9.

I don't love 1.8, but I don't hate it, and I'd be happy to see even a fifth of the mods I really like move on there, but it's more like a tenth right now. Maybe a twelfth. Which is really not enough for me to move on.

I have just started work on a 1.8 fork of my mod, but for now I'm still pretty fond of 1.7, and won't be leaving just yet. Especially because Et Futrum exists.

Also worth to note, as I understood the port from 1.8 to 1.9 is not that complex.

Could you buff the attack damages on the tools and stuff, like how it was before? And how the durability was good and the armor was diamond tier level?

What do you mean "like how it was before"? :)

Hi Stuck at Home, I am a fellow MC modder and I am trying to create potion effects for my armor, so if you could leave a link to your armor file source code that would be awesome

Is there certain mods/plugins in this pack that one would not need if they where strictly using this pack for singleplayer. I would just like to know what I can delete to reduce framerate drop in my singleplayer game

To improve your FPS don't delete mods. Try to add Optifine, download the latest version for 1.7.10 and put the jar in the mods folder.

Anyone can say anything about... this pack vs direwolf20 1.7.10 pack?

Thanks anyway, i'm playing this pack, and it's great... but that question keeps anoying me, couse there's so many direwolf20 fans, and "let's play" series... and for this mode pack, we only have the truemu series (speaking of quality, etc).

Again, thanks for the job. :)

Basically, The 1.7.10 Pack has a lot of mods that Direwolf20 don't have. From Galacticraft, to Mekanism.

While Direwolf20 tries to give you somewhat of a light feeling, The 1.7.10 Pack gives you the premium feeling of all the mods that you like in a stable edition.

    Quote from shortybsd»

Please report your error. I fixed the fluid registry and put in null checks where they were due. Only mod affected was Cellar. Try my unofficial fix and see if that doesn't stop/cease the crashes. Still would like to see your log and versions so we know what is really going on. Forge version, Growthcraft version and MC version.

I can confirm that your fix does work in servers too. I bet the guy didn't change the version on the server, just on the client.
