I was looking for a server to get back into Minecraft and was hoping for a dedicated community and stumbled across The Sanctuary.
What is your favorite thing to do in Minecraft?
My favorite thing to do is work with others to build larger communal locations that everyone can enjoy and use. As fun as it is to build your own stuff, getting to see others build styles come together into something much larger than you could ever do alone is always cool. From a solo perspective my favorite thing to do is explore. I'm looking forward to checking out all the new locations and mobs added in the new update.
What is your favorite/preferred base/building style?
My favorite building style has traditionally been underground or within a mountainside. With this server I'm hopping to get more into standalone builds or maybe a combination of above ground and below ground. I mostly build modern looking buildings with a lot of glass and stone or marble. I'm looking to get more into rustic builds that use more wood details.
What is your favorite memory you have made in Minecraft?
One of my favorite solo memories was building an Indiana Jones inspired rollercoaster on the last server I was on. It was an above/below ground ride that was inspired by the Disneyland ride. In terms of group memories it would probably have to be the nether hub I worked on with a few friends. It was cool to plan out quick ways to get to each others bases.
What aspect of vanilla gameplay draws you towards SMP?
The creativity that comes from the simplicity of vanilla. It doesn't get to complicated with an overabundance of mods which means more time for player interaction. I'm trying to get back into Minecraft and I've always found having a community with community goals and things to work towards makes the experience more enjoyable and its always nice to meet more people to game with!
Outside of Minecraft, what kinds of activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
Outside of Minecraft I do a lot of photography in my local area. In addition I'm looking to get into content creation, not sure if that would be in the video game field or something else. I'm a big gamer outside of minecraft so I play a lot of other games both on pc and console. I spend a lot of time with my dog and enjoy being outdoors when I can!
