They're copying the designs from Carpenter's Blocks, except that mod has far more functionality and use.

You are joking right ?
Jesus...
People have been asking this for so long, and you are complaining that its not original ? Its good to be un-original sometimes.

That sounds odd, I don't think we've locked anything in the archive, people are welcome (and encouraged) to continue to discuss threads in that section. I'll go through all of the threads now to look for any that have been locked, maybe an administrator was confused about the archive or I've made a mistake.

Threads are moved into "Archived" once they have been acknowledged, if either I've replied or another staff member has replied they get archived

I must have missed the complaints about the notification bar, can you provide some links to the complaints or clarify what the problem with the design of the notification bar is? Thanks!
Quote from citricsquidAs far as I know I have not shot any feedback down, I have said that some feature requests don't fit with our vision for the platform and won't be implemented

The scope of the "fix" you've suggested is huge, the interface is... a significant part of the application, it would require a huge undertaking on behalf of the design and development team to rebuild the previous interface on this platform, it would be a really poor allocation of the resources we have. Personally I'd much rather the development team focused on moving this platform forward (to something awesome) rather than backward to something people "liked". As a person that spends all day every day on this website (because it's my job!) Cobalt has been a huge improvement and has unlocked a significant amount of potential for us to improve the site even more. For example thread prefixes are have had a huge positive impact on the value of the content sections (the most popular part of the site), something that wasn't possible on IPB!
I completely understand that you don't like the way that the site looks now and we'd love to hear your suggestions on how we can improve it, but returning the site to the previous design is just not a viable option. If you have specific parts of this design, interface or functionality that you dislike or find difficult to use, please let me know, we'd love to make improvements!
Thank you for taking to the time to share your thoughts.

The number of ads appears to have been reduced, both on here and on the beta forums. I have no ad blockers active. Is this a bug, part of the preparation for the update, or an intentional change?
Quote from BrokenEye
You damned fools, the new format isn't even ready yet. I just checked the beta forum, and most if not all of the reported bugs are still going strong.

What has allowed the current state of things is Mojang not enforcing their EULA. Who's to say that won't still be the case. They could very possibly make all this commotion and then effectively do nothing again. Things would change but still stay exactly the same.
As a small server OP though, I hope they crush those servers that rely on creating disparity and the use of exploitative methods to thrive. Those people are just the worst.

That is uncanonical. Possibly for a movie gate version, but I wouldn't accept the "base" model having that behaviour.
Not actually random; they just light up the symbols that are next to the chevrons.

If he's dead-set on a Phantom, the 530 would be better than the "regular" Phantom.
You "chastise" me enough about "not going with what the OP wants", so I'm trying to reverse that "trend", and now you're complaining again.

Obviously. TDP is, to my knowledge, the maximum amount of power that can be drawn at once.

"A few degrees"
With an overclocked 560 Ti and 2700K, the R4 was already trailing the other enclosures by a decent margin. You can't just say "well, that's only a few degrees" and "invalidate" my point. That's about as much of a non-argument as you can get.
It performs poorly, both thermally and acoustically. You can dance around that point as much as you want with retarded reasoning, but it's still there, and visible in benchmarks.
Dual 290s are pumping around 600w of heat minimum directly into the enclosure, unless you're stupid enough to use the reference cooler. Now try getting rid of that with only two fans, plus extra heat caused by the CPU, etc.

You need to stop playing devil's advocate and trying to fight everything I recommend because you feel like it.
Thermal performance degredation is an exponential curve. For every watt of heat you pump into a system, it's harder for the enclosure to dissipate the next one. Throwing a high-end graphics card and CPU into the Pro, and then pointing to a flawed analysis and claiming that it will still be only a few degrees behind, while still posting decently low noise levels, is absurd.

How is the 770 drawing more than its TDP, let alone the 3770K drawing more than double it?

One, supporting tons of fans is a byproduct of designing for water cooling and not standalone, and secondly, water cooling still uses fans.
It's still a terrible choice if you want to air cool, compared to other choices at the same price point.

With a ridiculous amount of noise and throttling, sure.
The R4 is absolutely not what people make it out to be. It consistently trails the pack in both thermal and acoustic performance under a workload far lesser than that of the OP's build.

It provides airflow to all portions of your PC. If it's not adequate your temperatures will get out of hand very quickly.
