    [SOLVED]

We tried the 2 things shown above, and the first one showed that both graphics cards were "incompatible" for OpenGL. Then we tried the second one, but my friend didn't have HP Support Assistant downloaded. When he tried to download it, it would get stuck at 100% download and not open.

After that, we rolled back his graphics cards to the date when he could still play Minecraft. And that seemed to do the trick. Now his Minecraft works.

(Also, is there a way to mark the question as solved?)

No, the system is 64 bits. We checked in the device information that it was 64-bit as well

When my friend tries to Open Minecraft, he gets the glfw error 65542 wgl. We've already looked through every single thread and nothing seems to work. I'll put a list of the things we've tried (that I can remember off the top of my head):

    - Put OpenGL into his files.

    - Disabled his second graphics card.

    - Reinstalled the game about 5 times

    - Disabling and reenabling his graphics card.

    - Updating all drivers

    - Installing Java

    - Increasing allocated ram

    - Checked that both his graphics card support OpenGL version.

Also keep in mind that he was able to run Minecraft before, it just stopped working all of the sudden.
