So I've recently been experimenting with keybindings, and as an experiment, I want to make the player move forward when I pressed the M key. However, for some reason, I'm at a loss at how to make the player move *forward* given that there are 360 degrees in a circle, and thats our range of motion. Does anyone know how to do this, or even better, the code file in which Notch specified what happens when you press a key?
I've walked through the net.minecraft.client.settings which is where the KeyBinding class is stored, but it doesn't store what happens when you press said key. There's also another class that intializes all the keyBindings - "Game Settings"
Jay
Edit:
So I made a dumb mistake by posting this. All I had to do was search through the minecraft packages for keyBindForward
So for those concerned :
KeyBinds are registered at net.minecraft.client.settings.keybinding
Movement keys are defined at net.minecraft.util
Edit 2:
So, now I can't use moveForward for some reason, so if anyone has an idea how I could moveForward, that would be great
I felt like that hassle of finding a village is just TOO DAMN HIGH! However, somewhere in the near future, after I figure out why container GUI's aren't working, I'm adding in a GUI instead and also adding in an entity that will simulate as any kind of coin.
May I join this mod team? I'm great at structure generation, although once we start quad-forlooping it's just confusing to look at. I'm a modder and I have made a mod, but I would prefer working in a group. I know java in general, not just minecraft programming.
If anyone has anything to say regarding on how good or bad it is, or any ideas, those thoughts are welcome! Even if it just to rage at me about how bad I am at modding, anything but this DREADFUL SILENCE.
1: Do you have Modding Experience? Ever done a Mod? Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! 2: Can you lend the Mod a good amount of time? Probably. 3: Why you want to join us? Because I really want to join a modding team! 4: Can you make Textures?* Hell no. 5: What about Models?* Hell no. 6: Mobs?* Hell no. 7: Know how to code Structures?* Yes! 8: You can create Blocks?* Yes Side note: You might want to also get someone who is creative in making mod pages, who could clean up formatting issues and such on your mod page.

Hi everyone, I have recently made a new mod, with the idea given to me by FreeLifeXtreme. The idea of the mod is that, due to Minecraft's lack of traders, if you don't find a village early, you lose the aspect of mercantilism. The idea of this mod is to keep that aspect, even you don't find a village early in the game.

Hi everyone!,
I'm looking for a modder that could create a mod for a Feed The Beast server I own. It adds an RPG-like element to the game, and it will change the way Minecraft runs.Very experienced modders are preferred. If you could PM me, I could send you all the details. This mod is quite large, and will be very time consuming, not to mention the hosting company wants the mod, so you will be most likely payed for your efforts. (Get confirmation on this, don't say Most Likely"
well, i agree with the pegasus taking you to camp half blood, but not the "no more minecraft monsters" or "getting children" but sending messages, totally agree- and why camp jupiter? it's not in the percy jackson books/movies
Camp Jupiter is in the second series involving Percy Jackson
