I could do it like that, and nerf the durability to like 3x the material durability
And I completely understand, it's kind of a pain to move 9 pickaxes into the crafting grid

Aug 21, 2014So you want me to change the recipe so that you get nine pickaxes worth of durability, speed, and efficiency for the price of one diamond pickaxe and some other stuff. I mean, if you have any ideas, I'd be glad to hear them about how you want me to do that.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
MCTalen: That's a great point, and there isn't too much that changed between 1.7.2 and 1.7.10, I'll release it for 1.7.2 as well.
Aug 21, 2014Nexey I don't think you understand. It's literally like you have 9 pick axes and you mine with them at once. For example, the durability is 9 times the material. It basically adds a progression to toolsPosted in: Minecraft Mods
Aug 21, 2014Thanks DJCherryTempo; If ya'll have any other ideas to add to this mod, just tell me and I'll see if I can add them.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Aug 20, 2014Forgot to put the version in there, thanks; It's 1.7.10, and 3x3 holesPosted in: Minecraft Mods
Aug 20, 2014I made a very bad looking thread herePosted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
I think I'm going to post all of the updates there, just to keep it in one flash; and i uploaded the version that should be resistant to that bug, however I might have to go more rudimentary in how I check for blocks. Anyway, thanks for everything guys.
Aug 20, 2014Posted in: Minecraft ModsEarth Movers!Earth Movers! is a mod I have developed in lieu of people looking for 3x3 pickaxes and shovels with having the burden that Tinkers Construct has put on their computers. It adds a Wide Pickaxe, Wide Shovel, and an Earth Mover, which is essentially a bridge between the two.Recipes:
Just switch out the type of pickaxe
Again, just switch out the type of shovel
Only the diamond version, to at least promote some stability.

Aug 20, 2014I can definitely try, it shouldn't be too hard; Just like a bow, except instantaneous instead of wind-up. So yeah, give me like two days, hope that my crew practice isn't going to kill me, and that our lord and savior, Tom Riddle allows mePosted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
Aug 20, 2014Alrighty guys, I have the new versionPosted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
So I opted for the name Earth Movers for the mod: There are three kinds of tools:
1). Wide Pickaxes
- 3x3 Pickaxe
2). Wide Shovels
- 3x3 Shovel
3). Earth Movers
- 3x3 Shovel and Pickaxe
The recipe for the Wide Pickaxe is a 3x3 grid of regular pickaxes
The recipe for the Wide Shovel is the same as the Wide Pickaxe, but with shovels (Shocker?)
The recipe for the Earth Mover is like this
D D D
A D C Where A and C are a Wide Pickaxe and Wide Shovel

Thanks to Alexcamostyle for all the textures, you're awesome
Aug 19, 2014JiffyJay posted a message on [Is this a possible mod?] [Changing textures from day to night] (dusk/dawn)It's been possible, there was a mod that did it, although I can't remember the name of it right now. I'm uncertainly sure that it would have to use the onTick method in blocks. It would cause a lot less lag than creating a TileEntity, and using that due to the fact that tile entities get ticked, every single tick. Instead blocks get added to like a pool of blocks that need to get ticked.Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
Imagine trying to get out of a pool on that ladder thing, you have to go one at a time; same concept.
Aug 19, 2014JiffyJay posted a message on [Is this a possible mod?] [Changing textures from day to night] (dusk/dawn)Block ticks are ridiculously slow, so in the constructor of the block you can putPosted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
and then in the method that corresponds to that (can't remember, pretty sure its onTick), check the minecraft time, and operate on that.
Aug 18, 2014Use System.out.println to get information on whats happening to your data.Posted in: Modification Development
Like, System.out.println(packet.dimension) in the packethandler, in the constructor of MyMessage, etc.
if you still can't figure it out, come back to me.
