    Hey Sildur - a few questions/issues.


    1) I noticed that this has been a bug in your vibrant shader packs for a while now - when logging off in the Nether, when logging back in, all entities and other random items like edges of objects and portal blocks are completely black. Interestingly this only happens when you fully quit the game. If I go to the main menu then come back, entities are fine and not pitch black.


    I asked about this issue on the Optifine Discord and other people seem to have the issue. I also noticed that this doesn't happen with other shaders, including your Enhanced Default shader. If it helps, I noticed that clicking on another shader profile (like from lite to medium to extreme) doesn't fix the issue, even with identical settings.


    2) I was able to figure out how to turn off raindrops, but I can't seem to find a setting to not have the distorted lens when underwater. I'm not referring to the fog but the actual lens distorting like waves of water are in my eyes. It's an interesting effect, but I've been playing a lot of Vivecraft lately and it makes anyone who goes underwater instantly nauseous. Is there a setting that I'm missing to be able to turn it off, or if not could I make that a feature request?



    3) I know that the snapshot just came out yesterday, but I'm wondering if you'd consider adding blue fog to areas in the new nether that have blue fog in vanilla whenever that time comes. It's a really neat looking effect!

    Hey Sildur, I'm not sure if this is a glitch with your vibrant shaders, or an Optifine issue. I tried replicating this with other shaders in the video and didn't notice any issues (including with enhanced default), only in your vibrant shader.


    In Minecraft 1.14.4 and the latest Optifine 1.14.4 preview (HD_U_F4_pre5), when looking at water through stained glass, your water isn't loaded -- no reflection/blue color/animation, it just looks like there isn't anything there. When you look at water through normal glass, it looks like your water should look, with the vivid blue reflections.


    You can see what I mean in the attached screenshot. to the left is how the water should look, through the normal glass, and to the right is how the water looks through stained glass.


    Here's a video that is easier to demonstrate. I start with your shader, then tested some different ones in the video to see if it was still an issue.

    Hi Sildur. There is a glitch in 1.13.x and 1.14.x where all entities in the nether are black when you log in while in the nether with your Vibrant shaders loaded. I'm not able to replicate this issue with other shaders -- only Sildur's Vibrant Shaders have this glitch.

    This reddit post where someone else experienced the same issue I've had since 1.13 prompted me to post this. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help troubleshoot.

    Hey Sildur, I'm curious about how the color boost function in the vibrant shaders works. I normally used 'low' because putting color boost on 'strong' would wash out brighter colors (like a sunset hitting a birch plank).


    I recently upgraded to a 10 bit monitor, so I'm wondering if color boost on 'strong' would make more sense now.


    Also, would you ever consider looking into a full HDR mode?

    Great changelog, thanks for the update! I'm excited to see rain reflections. Also glad to hear that the bugs with the beacon shadows and incorrectly lit underwater mobs are fixed!

    Hey Sildur, would it be possible to add emissive light menu to your 1.12.2 shaders? I know you said you generally won't continue 1.12.2 and below development, but this is an actually amazing feature and I really would love it in your older versions!

    Hey Sildur --


    I noticed that in the latest version of your shaders, beacon colors appear to be broken. In the screenshots attached, light gray glass above beacons seem to not do anything in Enhanced Default, they keep the yellow-ish default color in Vibrant Shaders, and they properly turn light gray with shaders off. This appears to just be in the latest versions, so if we need to wait for a stable version of Optifine that's understandable.


    Also regarding beacons, something I noticed is that with your shaders, they appear to make shadows. Is there any way to disable this? This doesn't appear to be something stemming from the shadersmod itself as other shaders don't have the shadows effect.

    Thanks for getting back to me, Sildur. So is that something sp614x would work on in Optifine, or is there a third party who makes the shaders mod? Just curious to see how this all works.

    Is there any sort of planned fix for the glitchy lighting effects when swimming through kelp, Sildur? When swimming through kelp, underwater fog seems to disappear (and is particularly bad when there's an active conduit in the area, as the entire underwater area turns extremely bright in addition to the fog disappearing). This is in vibrant shaders.

    I'm getting the same exact issue. Updating graphics drivers, uninstalling java, minecraft, and restarting computer all did nothing. Even tried Java 7 to no avail.

    I redid my port forwarding, with the application name being Minecraft with the external and internal ports being "25565". Protocol: Both, "to IP Address" has the address in "192.168.1.102". Obviously the "on" box is checked. I redid this several times. Still won't work.

    Hi. I used to run a minecraft SMP server on my laptop. Everything was fine: I set up port forwarding, downloaded the software, and it all worked out. I used both bukkit and the standard server for snapshots. The problem is, my server won't show up anymore. My IP Address changed (I think due to some sort of 3G booster that Sprint installed into my house), and now my server won't load on the new (and old) IP. I know the software to run the server works; using the address "localhost" proves this. But the server won't serve its purpose, to be able to play anywhere else. Some help, please? I tried redoing the port forwarding, and that didn't help. I've redownloaded the server software (even though I know that's not it) but still nothing works. I can log on to other servers, just not host one of my own. Help, please, and thanks.
