...Interesting, I would have never expected to see this. Wow, that's an eye-opener.

Sep 5, 2013Jetra posted a message on Snapshot will not have terrain changes (apparently)Is the snapshot really necessary? We went over two months without it, giving us a nice break of trying to keep up with the development of the game. They get to relax too as they're not rushed for time to get one out weekly.Posted in: Future Updates
I'd rather wait for them to release 1.7, I don't really care about the snapshot. That would probably cause people to rage about this or that being changed.

Don't worry, eating the pufferfish will be strongly discouraged through the use of deadly neurotoxin.
Information i found on twitter. Pretty unique i suppose. Wonder if you can cook it!
Fishing rewards in 1.7 are split into 3 piles: treasure, junk, fish. There are enchantments to change your luck between the piles.
More fishing information Dinnerbone has posted on twitter. I am more excited for fishing!
Treasure? Am I the only one thinking of the possibility of sunken treasure or even buried? Aside from that Pufferfish as a potion ingredient ehhh, maybe. There's a lot of things that don't make sense in Minecraft, but that seems like the thing from left-field. I'd prefer to get it by fishing only, but if it becomes a mob, would it be hostile and hurt you upon touching, giving Poision II and Slowness II?

As for falling particles, I honestly think they're a bit unnecessary. I'm sure they're fine, but it's really not up on my priority list.Posted in: Recent Updates and Snapshots

Sep 5, 20131) LevelingPosted in: General Gaming
- Either numerical levels with stat increases or in terms of more powerful equipment
- I like the feeling of being more powerful as I progress, whether it's level or leveless (like Zelda)
- The act of searching new, uncharted lands
- First thing I do: look everywhere. I just love to see what's around the next corner because who knows what's there?
- Items, weapons, equipment, and currency
- Okay, I'm going to admit I'm a hoarder in RPGs. I love having stockpiles of potions and rare items which I'll rarely use until it's extremely necessary. Lately, I've been learning to part with them, but still, I try to save them to the very end.
Aug 30, 2013@HiggsBacon, dealt with the report, it's all good.Posted in: Resource Packs
I love this pack, all the colors match up well. My favorite part of this pack is the Netherbrick. It's got that basalt texture that I've loved from the Tekkit / FTB modpacks. It's smooth and blends into the environment if you are wanting a more colorful look at your world. Being that it's a x16, it's hard to find good ones that aren't Painterly and this one definitely stands out among the rest. The font is really great as well.
Some things I don't really like about this pack is the wool and cobblestone. The colored wool sort of reminds me of another pack, but I'm not going to be harsh about that since you can only do so much with pixels. They really don't fit in with the rest of the pack, mostly because of the border. And the cobblestone is a bit bland compared to the brightness of the rest of the pack. Maybe try some other designs? Never hurts to have alternate textures.
Final Score: 9.25/10
Definitely keeping this one in my client, it's bright.
Aug 27, 2013I've actually noticed that people are content now. With the ability to backdate, that's one of the major complaints of people pretty much squished, including myself. The launcher runs nice and Mojang is constantly fixing it. With the lack of weekly snapshots, there isn't anything to complain about because people are being introduced to it rather than having the feature forced upon them.Posted in: Recent Updates and Snapshots
