How'd you get it done so quickly? Did you have a script or something?

Also, why does it start at 12:00? time=0t is estimated 6:00a in bukkit and other tools.

It wasn't done quickly, it took about 6 hours! No script or anything, just change the time and save, change the time and save, etc... it starts at 12:00 because that's how the clock animation is made. It starts at noon and half way through is midnight. 0 in game time is still 06:00 as demonstrated in the video. When I set the time to 6000 in game, the clock reads 12:00 noon.

Hey guys, I just spent several grueling hours making a digital clock for Minecraft. Yes, it was a PITA making every minute of every hour a separate image, that's 2400 images! Anyway, it's a 24 hour digital clock (00:00-23:59). Here it is in action:

I should also note in the video there is a tan line under the clock, that is a glitch from the beta MCPatcher. I can assure you it's not part of the image. Same with the 64x version, there is a white line on the right of the clock. These lines don't show up with an unpatched Minecraft.

I am now taking requests. You can ask in the thread, or PM. The following should accompany your request:
    • Clock Background
    • Clock font (If different than my currently used font)
    • Preferred size (32x, 64x, 128x, 256x, 512x...) If yourclock background is small, don't request a significantly larger size clock.
Updated Feb. 26, 2013: Added txt file required with snapshot 13w09a+.

If you downloaded these clock prior to snapshot 13w09a, you must download this txt file and put it in your items folder with the clock image. Alternatively, you can redownload the clock below which already includes the txt file.

March 11, 2014 - Currently being updated for compatibility of new resource pack system. Expect new downloads in the next couple days. In the meantime, you can still use this in your current pack by putting this file along with your desired clock into the items folder of your texture pack.

Updated March 11, 2014: All clocks are now compatible with the new resource pack system. Simply download the clock and size you want and put it on top of your current resource pack. Enjoy!

You're right. While re-implementing mipmapping I fixed a huge performance bug in Mojang's new animated texture system. The performance is on par with 1.4 again.

Glad to hear that. I've been driving myself crazy thinking I did something wrong converting my texture pack. If I was actually trying to play the game right now rather than just work on my textures I'd be a bit ed with the performance. It's bad enough that I can't play in a world and debug my textures for more than a few minutes at a time.

Is the bug reported somewhere so I can vote it up and hopefully get fixed for next week?

Again, keep up the amazing work!

I don't think MCPatcher is the reason for the performance hit. I think it's just cause by using texture packs. In fact my performance is so bad with or without MCPatcher that my game consistently freezes after about 6 minutes. Using my texture pack in 13w01b and earlier I get an average of 115 fps. Since the change in texture system, I start out at about 30 fps and, as I mentioned before, it drops steadily until I freeze after about 6 minutes. This doesn't happen when I use default textures, however.

Post your before and after sky.properties file. There shouldn't be anything looking in the terrain folder anymore, but it's possible the source= property didn't get updated correctly.

Wow, I'm an idiot! That's what it was, I didn't use your converter so it was just me failing to update the properties files manually... Sorry!

For 13w02b beta: Seems like if I have my sky0 folder in the new environment folder the skybox won't show up in game, but if I put it back in the old terrain folder it will.

Nice work by the way :)

I will probably not be updating until they add something significant, as of now as far as I know the pack still works for the latest version, and snapshot.

    Have a nice holiday!

Actually, it's missing enchanted books, fireworks, firework stars, and firework particles. Not complaining as I've added them in my own mixed texture pack, but though I'd let you know :)

Happy Holidays to you as well.

Would it be ok if I did sort of my own mish-mash of the two versions taking everything I like from each and putting them together for my own personal use? Basically I want to include the new tools.png but keep most of the old terrain.png with a few changes like the updated cocoa pods and melon vines. Again, this would only be for personal use and would never be distributed.

I love how I change just the tools and weapons... that people have complained about for over a year, and now it's "watered down"..... when that is literally the only thing besides cobble that changed from the last version....

I have a nieghbor that is like that.... he's one of those guys that just doesn't like change, and chances are if you just give it a chance and especially if you compare it to vanilla it is MUCH more in line with how the vanilla weapons are. Minecraft is not meant to have realistic graphics it's meant to be silly and cartoony like Wow.... and if you want that kinda uber realism then I suggest you use LB photoset instead, or you could even drop the item.png from the old version in, and change the cobble back it's really not hard.

Honestly I wasn't a huge fan of changing the stuff.... but I realized that it was very off from vanilla when people complained so I changed them and the new stuff grew on me very very quickly.

Whoa, I didn't mean to offend you... In all honesty, probably my only gripe is the cobblestone. That is one of the reasons I picked this theme pack to begin with, I just loved the cobblestone. The new tools and whatever are fine, but I can't get over that cobblestone. I don't want an ultra realistic theme pack and I don't want a completely cartoony theme pack. This one seemed to be just in the middle and just perfect for my taste. And for the record, I didn't see very many people complaining about it being "too far off from vanilla." Either way, I'll say again, I still love this theme pack and will continue to use an older version for now.

I'm a little worried about this update, anyone have screenshots?

Edit: Yikes, downloaded it and looked through the images... I think I'm sticking to an older version. I do still appreciate the hard work though cferrill1. However, I think this slightly "watered down" version, not sure how else to describe it, should be it's own pack perhaps.
