Can anyone point me to a good Thorium reactor design? I'm looking for reliable and safe mostly. Something that makes decent power; nothing too gonzo. Having a hard time researching this. Watched a couple videos but haven't seen much beyond "experimental get it to work" type designs.

Hate to break it to you, but I'm not a big fan of "quest" style modpacks... which SetGameDifficulty Reika is. I'm looking for more a sandbox modpack.
    Thanks though!

Hey Reika, I have to admit, I've always loved your mods. I've been thinking about setting up a new server for my gaming group, and would love to run a good modpack that included Rotary-Reactor-ElectriCraft and ChromatiCraft at the least. Can you recommend a good modpack that would include these? Have any favorites?

Also, what server base would you recommend me run it on? Stock Forge? Performance-wise, since it's mostly a private server - well, aside from the game group I belong to, don't plan to advertise it, I'm probably not going to have more than a dozen players overall and the server is a dedicated Ubuntu box with 32gb, SSD on a pretty fair uplink.

    Thanks!

Here's a question regarding worldgen, do you have plans to split off the worldgen aspects from all your mods and pack them into a separate "Essentials" type mod similar to how Thermal Expansion 4 is? A single mod that controls all ore creation, biome footprints, etc? Granted, Chomaticraft is almost nothing but worldgen features with all it's very realistically textured stones (REALLY nice job on those BTW, best looking stone textures out there!), trees, etc.

Quick question, is there a way to shield a Van de Graff? I'm building an electrolyzer facility and the van de graff can zap you even through glass. :/ The engineer in me went "wha??"

Oh, also is there any use for the oxygen produced?

Guess I should also mention I'm using the Monster 1.1.1 pack which has RotaryCraft v19b

    Thanks!

You know, as a freelance programmer myself, one of the things that would fire me up and grab my attention to work on updating my code was a mailbox full of PayPal notifications that there was a mod loving gaming community who thought my skills worth at the minimum, the price of a cheap lunch.

    Just a suggesstion. :)

I love this mod! I love how complete it is. :)

    Two suggestions though:
Crafting a glass bowl uses the same recipe as crafting a Buildcraft Tank (which is a major component of the mod); which is 3x3 box of glass with the center missing. Because of this, I'm considering pulling Herblore off my server because tanks trump bong bowls. Would you be willing to change this? Perhaps craft the bong as one recipe? Right now I got a "send the admin 8 glass and he'll send you a buildcraft tank" policy.

Second, you use a bucket to make hemp slurry for hemp paper, but when you cook the thing, you lose the bucket which is a harsh cost for three pieces of hemp paper. What I think would be cool would be to make the hemp slurry an actual liquid and a pair of machines to handle it. A hemp processor that you put hemp fibers into and it grinds it up into the slurry and holds it inside an internal liquid tank (which you can drop a bucket into a slot on and fill the bucket or use a buildcraft pipe and pipe the liquid to a holding tank) similar to the Magma Crucible in Thermal Expansion. The second machine would be a slurry press which takes the liquid and turns it into hemp paper.

Integration with mods like Buildcraft and IndustrialCraft would be awesome in general though. I'd love to make a toke plantation with some major automated processing machinery. :)

I saw someone mentioned the genetics thing and breeding different strains. It's something the Forestry mod does, and while complex, it would be absolutely awesome to take advantage of those mechanics as well (ooohh... a Forestry automated toke farm! Woot!) Sorry, just daydreaming at this point.
