1. would the suit give you infinite oxygen? also the main problem I have with it is that 2. it would take up your armor space, if those two problems are fixed and there not too hard to make I would be okay with them.
3. the w.d. trees should be able to grow underwater(so you don't have to go on land to get wood).
there should be the usual animals in the deep water(angler fish, gulper eels, goblin sharks, etc) :smile.gif:
1. Yep, that's the general idea.
2. Armored diving suits
3. Indeed they will grow underwater, though there will also be a jungle like environment on the surface world of the WD .
And the main reason why there should be a surface in the WD , is because dropping strait Into water is kind of cheap, and having land allows you to be able to actually craft a diving helmet INside the dimension.
Also, having just a large ocean for the WD seems kind of lame. People will be all like "why go to this water dimension if it's bascally just an oversized ocean biome?"
They jungle, and the openings in the crust give the dimension some life to it IMO.
Sorry I was not able to really think about this because I fell asleep like a child last night haha.
Anyway, I have thought of some additions to my original idea of different land masses that can only be traveled to after you finish some kind of quest etc, in this case killing the dragon. Going with the idea of different land masses, it would be cool if Mojang was able to come up with a small video the first time you travel to the new lands.
Something like:
It shows pictures of you killing the dragon, and you on a ship bound to the new land, and while the pictures area shown it says something like this in the background:
Note: * (I was thinking that they would use a old man's voice, a man of knowledge or something, someone like Gandalf from Lotr.
"You thought that killing the dragon was the end, but you have a lot to learn young one..
Killing the dragon is only the beginning of your travels. Killing the dragon was only a test of your survival skills.
You now have the option to leave the stone sword, the wooden axe, and the diamond pickaxe, and travel to a land that has previously never been talked about. Everything may seem different, new challenges will arise, and survival will be more important than ever before. If you are a true adventurer you will sail the vast seas to not only see your new challenges, but to embrace them and conquer them as you have been able to do here. The land you are now on is for new comers, and you have proven yourself to move forward. Though you do not have to leave now, whenever you may feel the urge to adventure again, come stop by and I will arrange a ship for you."
At the end of the story it asks you on the screen:
Would you like to travel now?
or
Would you rather stay here for awhile?
If you pressed the first one then it would show another video of you on the seas and the old man speaking as a narrator and explaining how you made the right choice etc. After that movie you land on the shore of the new land, with the sea behind you, and a thick forest ahead of you and mountains in the distance whose peaks touch the heavens.
Note: *Sorry the story sounds a little childish but I am kind of put on the spot right now haha :smile.gif:
3. what I meant was something used for wood(sticks, crafting tables, chests, etc.)I think trees could work in the nether though if they look like there dead
4.you can't use lava for potions, "safety nets", or extinguishing fire/lava
6. I meant a kind of ore in a dimension(like the aether mod)
7. also the crops are dimension specific(like you can't grow wheat on soul sand in the nether)
10.What I'm saying is that you can be able to go to any dimension without anything and be able to do everything there, so there would be no need for diving equipment.
the idea I had for the w.d. doesn't have any landmasses in it, everything's underwater
edit:I'm not really considering the end for any of my statements, since its basically just for fighting the enderdragon.
3. how would these trees be renewable?
4. True, but there is no water in the nether, and I don't think there will ever be any. Maybe a water substitute?
6. we don't necessarily have to have Iron ore in all the dimensions, having an enemy drop an iron ingot or two would be supple. Plus the idea of a metal (maybe liquid metal?) enemy in the nether sounds pretty cool.
7. herp, forgot to say that, but yes, there will be dimension specific crops. Seaweed for the WD maybe?
10. >Start on land in the water dimension
>craft helmet
>dive into endless ocean below the thin layer of crust.
Imagine this, but have several of these openings littered across an infinitely expanding jungle landscape
Then everything underneath the jungle is a vast under water ocean, filled with coral reefs, cave systems, ancient temples, and a whole lot more.
1. In my opinion, I think that each main dimension should have the resources to survive/live there permanently(basically being able to staying in one world without the need to go back to the over world for tool,food,etc.). some basics are:
2. food(pigs for example)
3. wood
4. water(or something similar)
5. tool tiers(equivalents to the normal ones)
6. minerals(iron,etc)
7. crops(wheat,etc)
8. other materials for crafting(string,flint,etc)
9. each dimension should have its own resources specific to it(so no diamonds in the nether, but there would be something like them)
This could make faction servers interesting(each faction gets a entire world)
10. Also the water dimension should have breathable water(so the entire place can be explored without drowning).
1. I see what you mean, this would indeed make servers more interesting. You could even set the starting dimension for a server as well. A water dimension only server would be pretty intense.
2. Implementing some sort of food mob won't be that hard, I could see this happening.
3. Here's where the trouble starts, how are we going to have wood(or trees for that matter) in the nether or End? The water dimension Idea I had (were a thin layer of crust surrounds the world) would be Supple for jungle trees, the sky dimension could easily have trees as well. We just need to find a way to make wood fit in those dimensions...
4. someone suggested using lava to irrigate crops in the nether, so we won't have to worry about this.
5. Not sure about this, but it does make more sense than having one new tool set per dimension I guess.
6. Not sure about adding Iron to the nether, maybe in an indirect way? Instead of having just plain iron ore, like how zombie pigman drop gold nuggets. Maybe some kind of metal enemy?
7. Not a problem, it would be easy to implement this

Then you might find more pleasure in my thread /self advertising
I do kind of agree, we shouldn't have to dirrectly choose yes or no.
Instead just have the player do what they wish, and maybe no dialog either, as this is minecraft after all.

Lol, I like it!

6. Oh, ok that makes sense. But we need iron for buckets and such
10. well, It would be kinda weird not to have a diving suit.
11. you forget that the openings in the crust are everywhere, and they let in light
And deep oceans are dark near the bottom anyway. Though I believe I have that problem covered

If by "Dunkleostues", you mean Chrysaora quinquecirrha, then yes, it would be a good idea.

Soon I'll rule the world!
OT: the ocean biome does need to be improved, having some more water mobs would be a start.
but nothing too generic like sharks or eels.
Maybe some kind of sea cucumber? Meh I don't know

Thanks bro, that means a lot to me.
I personally like your After The End suggestion.
Having a 4x4 crafting table would make much more complicated crafts possible.

You seem to have a few too many words in your post.
Don't worry, I fixed it for you
