posted a message on 5x5 Programmable Redstone Animation Display
Hello, forum. I'd like to present to you my latest project in Minecraft: A 5x5 programmable redstone animator with 5 frames in which you can program. It can easily be extended to display more. The sky is the limit...literally.

posted a message on Pi Discussion
One time I was bored in math, so I set it upon myself to calculate pi using the Sine function on my calculator. Divide the degrees of a circle into like... .001 degrees per section, then multiply the number of total sections by the sine of each individual degree measure. Then, divide by two. That number should be pi accurate to 7 digits or so. Sadly, by using the sine function you're actually using pi, but yeah :tongue.gif:

Kudos to somebody who actually got what I just said.

Designed to be played by TWO player pianos (pianos that play by themselves) is a little piece called "Circus Gallop" by Michael Vincent. I present to you a video of one player piano doing just that...

Nice work! I'd be really interested in seeing the sin, cos, and tan functions implemented.

I also recommend making a seven segment display and decoder for digits 0-9. It's a great starting project.

I'll give you a project and leave it up to you to do the research and make it. Make a binary counter that can count from 0 to 9 and display the answer in binary. After you've made that, create a seven segment display and a binary to decimal decoder to go with it. Then, as a final step, hook up your counter to your display so it displays 0-9. Simply google or search any of this stuff I just said on Youtube. Once you've done this, you'll know a lot of the basics of binary and redstone circuitry.

Well whats the point of actually mining if you're going to INVedit the TNT? Assuming you did INVedit it. If not, then that's kinda a waste of resources...well, not really I guess. What else would you do with legitimately obtained TNT?

posted a message on Where to learn all about redstone?
My advice is to watch youtube videos and tutorials. I first REALLY started getting good at redstone when I finished watching a tutorial on how to make a seven segment display. Everything sort of built up from there and now I've built a calculator that can display up to 31 on two fancy displays. I've also learned a lot about binary logic and stuff like that. Minecraft is probably the funnest educational game I've ever played.

I'd like to see a full game played out by some people in the future. This is easily a Digital Diamond.

I can't use this mod. My computer gets ungodly FPS lag when I'm in the Aether. Waiting for a better, more optimized performance version.

Congrats! You've just begun your journey into the wonderful world of redstone circuitry. What you just built is the first real thing I built. Next step is to make a setup that uses two displays and can count higher :tongue.gif:

It's a good idea. I think just having ropes in general would be a great addition to the game.
