Maybe if we didn't spend so much money on killing civilians in the Middle-East, then those programs truly could come into existence with little to no rise in taxes.
Oh yeah, also:
Thank you for posting that. That was the same exact thing I was thinking.
Oh, great. I'm trolling, because I say something that someone does not agree with. Seems like there's a little bit of a Halo fanboyism going on here. Listen, it doesn't matter how good the story is or how great the online functionality is. Halo is just like Goldeneye 007 for the Nintendo 64, all of this **** was put in to cover up the fact that in order for an FPS to be made for consoles, the game has to be slowed down and simplified a lot in order to accommodate the gamepad.
Why? Well, you just cannot aim and move around with a gamepad as well as you can with a keyboard and mouse.
I completed Fallout 3 on the Normal difficulty using the keyboard+mouse without much hassle (I suck at FPS's and you can't move around worth a **** in that game, but having more inherently precise aiming really helps!). I barely survived on the easiest difficulty using the Xbox 360 gamepad.
Sure, you could hook up a keyboard and mouse to the Xbox 360 and PS3, if only they let you use them for the games! But that would give you too much of an advantage against the 12 year olds using the gamepad, I guess.
And Bungle (sic) would not be the Gods of game development anymore!
Wait, you're saying Goldeneye 007 was bad? In what way? That's why people think you're trolling...
Its true, you can aim much better with a keyboard and mouse but I'm not sure what that has to do with what is being discussed... does that change what Halo is as a game? Not really... You're arguing about PC vs. Console.
Also, I feel the need to point out Fallout 3 isn't really an FPS. Its an RPG with shooting in it.
Last I checked graphics weren't half the game :dry.gif:
But think what you wish, as it is all your opinion
I bring the graphics issue up because too many developers seem to think that if they make the better graphics the game is overall better. I don't mean that the graphics are literally half the game, but because they are changing them the game won't have the same feel as it the original. When they're re-releasing the game for nostalgic people, that's not something you want to do.
I honestly think the graphics in Halo 1 are better than the graphics in Halo 3. They don't need any "improving".
Thank you for respecting my opinion. I respect yours as well.
No, they're doing it as a ten year anniversery, and because fans wanted a remake since Halo 2 because they were nostalgic for Halo 1.
I have Halo 1 for the PC. If they want pure nostalgia they should all get that, because at least there the graphics are still the same. It even has multiplayer. You can't have a nostalgic game and change half of it, which is what they're doing.
When I first saw the trailer my first thought was, "They're going to mess this up just like Halo 2, and Halo 3, and Halo 3: ODST, aren't they?"
What was worse though is that they said they're going to bring back Halo 1 and "improve" its graphics and put it on xbox live. They're doing that because they haven't made a Halo right since. They ran out of ideas, so they're reusing the old ones; the ones that worked. The "improved" graphics are going to ruin it though.
If there is an alien species out there (which is incredibly more likely than not), there are alot of things to consider.
Why are they travelling throughout the universe? Are they economically/politically/militarily driven? Or are they traveling for adventure?
Why would they travel to Earth? We're just some strange blue planet in the middle of nowhere. How did they manage to find us and then decide to visit?
If they are capable of travelling such a great distance, then they are almost certainly more technologically advanced than us. This means were are entirely at their mercy. Would they see that we have something to offer them in the way of science? We are the only humans in the universe. Destroying us would be a big waste to science for them. Would they treat us like animals though? Or as sentient beings?
What I think though is that there are aliens out there, but they don't know we exist.

You're trying too hard to be stuck in the 1950s and 1960s. Welcome to 2011.
Do you even know what a communist believes in?

Then they die off on their own.
