I've been doing a lot in my world over the past few weeks. I just kept forgetting to post any of it.
-I started a creeper-only farm for gunpowder for my Elytra. Then I forgot to put the ocelots in. When I put them in, I made an automatic sugar cane farm alongside a basalt generator to give me something to do while there. The creeper farm still isn't decorated, though.
-I added pistons to my bamboo farm so now it works automatically. I also made an automated pumpkin and melon farm that's hooked up to the same button. Eventually I plan to have a hopper timer periodically activate to auto-harvest both them and my planned expansion for a kelp farm. In other news, bamboo is now my favorite fuel.
-I started building actual structures at my base because if I don't do anything besides build farms, then I'll end up abandoning my world once 1.17 releases. But I ran out of cobblestone, so I (finally) made a simple cobblestone generator. I plan to look into TNT duping at some point so I can make a fully automatic version, though.
-I went to my creeper farm to restock on gunpowder during my construction of the cobblestone generator, but even though it's three rockets away from my base, I took the Nether route. And I still didn't have a bridge to it (nor do I now). See where this is going?
I fireworked into a one-block hole of lava and lost my redstone shulker box, my construction resource shulker box, all of my tools (I don't really use Netherite) and my Elytra, but my armor and coordinate books were fine.
So I went back to the End to gather a new Elytra alongside a few backups. It was going fine, and I had enough shells for a few new boxes too, but then disaster struck. I used an unenchanted Elytra to fly around, and I opened my inventory to check its durability. I had about 100 durability left on it, but I was just outside of an End City with another ship, so I figured I'd land and loot its Elytra then use that one to find a return gate.
The Elytra with 100 durability broke in midair not even five seconds later, and I fell to my death. I'm confused beyond belief, because I know it doesn't break that fast. So I decided I'd just teleport myself back to that End City (I was using AMIDST, so I had the coordinates) and would pretend it never happened.
I teleported back there, and all my stuff had despawned. It was like a minute and they were all unloaded anyways. Two glitches within not even two minutes.
I used commands to resurrect and reenchant my armor (it was all maxed out) and the two Elytras I had on me, but I didn't touch anything else. I just immediately left. Without the coordinate book, no less.
-I set to work remaking my tools. At this point I was using a Netherite Sword that I had never really used nor wanted to use before, but I had basically no choice. At this point, I only need Mending and Efficiency 4 on my shovel before I'm back to where I was tool-wise. I still need a bunch of sword enchantments still.
-I finally built my iron farm to help replace all the hoppers and pistons I lost. I figured that moving villagers made me way too anxious to build one, so I just had to make my own design that wouldn't make me anxious. And I did it! It wasn't the most efficient, but it worked. So I built it by my base, and it didn't work. I removed all the beds and potential job sites in my base that could expand the village boundaries. Didn't work. So I flew hundreds of blocks away and directly imported the working design in with commands. Didn't work. Finally I gave up and followed a tutorial in spawn chunks, simply using the command exploit in order to spawn the villagers and zombie. I was tired of things not working the way they should for no reason, and I just wanted it to be over with without moving three villagers 1k+ blocks over an ocean. And it finally worked.
-Finally, I spent about twenty minutes moving horses from the far away mainland over to my base. So I'll finally have something to spend more time on: breeding horses as if I even need them.

Bees can spawn in beehives when oak or birch trees are grown two blocks away from a flower. That should allow easy enough access to bees anywhere.

Oxidization is a chemical reaction, so chemicals would be necessary for removal, not just heat. Gameplay is better than realism, but in situations like this, Mojang typically makes realistic additions. (Think changing cookies to seeds for parrots and when anti-oxidation was added in the first place.)
From a bit of research, I see that most of the cleaning is done through pastes or juice rather than heat. It'd make sense if some sort of water and honey combination could clean it. Most likely, I'd say you can craft a water bucket, honeycomb and rusted copper block together to reset its rust state with the water bucket not being consumed upon crafting.

Control+F4 on Windows lets you search for specific phrases on a page. If you're not on Windows, then I don't know if there is a way. But that'll let you search for specific details without reading the whole page.
Specifically, the following is stated about beds:
- Sleeping bags. Beds are unique so it is highly unlikely there will be any additional furniture items like them. (25 January 2019)
To me, it makes sense why they say this about beds. Beds let you skip the night and set a respawn point as opposed to just waiting, yes. But they allow you to settle far away from the world spawn with no worries about trekking back there when you die. That is why beds are considered unique.

I like the idea of essentially making the Elytra "heavier" and reducing its velocity/momentum in exchange for protection, but adding a new set that's stronger than iron (due to toughness) that also negates the flight penalty renders the whole point redundant. I'd stick to just the chestplate and make it slightly weaker than iron in exchange for being combinable with the Elytra whilst doing so makes the Elytra heavier and lowers its acceleration rate in addition to making it fall faster and possibly increasing smack damage.
The ants sound fine to me at the moment.

No, it's not "nearly cosmetic" because you can still add enchantments to it and it doesn't require you to fully trade off the armor of a chestplate. With this, you could add Thorns III and Protection IV to Elytra, which combined with the flight and even middling armor rating would be pretty busted. This also restricts what future enchantments can be added to chestplates unless we want to impose contrived rules about what enchantments can and can't be applied to which chestplates and when, which unlike allowing for cosmetic attachment of chestplates to Elytra is misleading, unintuitive, and bad design.
Tell me, would it be balanced to be able to wear an Elytra with an Iron Chestplate?
This comment. Mojang has stated the Elytra trades protection for mobility.
Each armor point adds 4% damage resistance, as do each level of Protection. So a Protection 4 leather tunic would already provide 20% damage resistance. By comparison, a full set of leather armor provides 28% resistance. An iron chestplate by itself provides 24% damage resistance.

Rather than a directional slime block, I'd rather have some sort of "frame" that you can fit over any side of a slime block that makes it not stick to anything on that side of the block (including other slime/honey blocks). That'd add a lot more possibilities.

I wasn't sure about the mechanics of older versions.
But i was very sure of my test results.
Now i want to see, how long it takes or how many slimes i can get to spawn.
I will repead the same test once again, this time I'll surround the platform with fences and let the pc run over night,
starting tomorrow evening.
Bye the way: is there a command i can use with a commandblock to nametag mobs, so they don't despawn?
Every other aspect, wich means every other mob i have covered.
I believe nametags add a hidden PersistenceRequired tag to a mob, and that's what prevents it from despawning. I haven't played around much with the new data command, so I'm only aware of how to summon mobs with it, not add it to already existing mobs. But I'm sure it's out there.

You could tunnel bore, but since all singleplayer/LAN (I'd assume Realms also) worlds have access to the /seed command, it'd be far easier to use outside resources to determine their locations. That also comes with the benefit of finding side-by-side slime chunks in two directions. I used the online seed viewer MineAtlas to locate three slime chunks earlier this year, and sure enough, they were all there.

Play a survival world locked on hard difficulty with cheats disabled (don't even switch to a LAN world to change these settings) and try to complete every advancement. Whilst doing so build a large base of some kind and find creative ways to store all the loot you've hoarded.

Just a few days ago I created a small (136 mods) sci-fi themed modpack on Minecraft v1.11.2 and started my adventure. I made myself a modern'ish style house to start me off in my adventures, but do not have much expertise when it comes to building in all honesty, with this being one of my first attempts at making buildings that go beyond a simplistic, utilitarian style.
After finding the location and enjoying the view I built my house on the seashore and the headquarters on a nearby islet, then connected the islet to the mainland with a small bridge.
I also built a large building to serve as my headquarters and base of operations, and to host the more general-use machinery that will help me on my journey.
Resource Pack used in the screenshots is a mixture of the Unity Resource Pack by CyanideX and the Unity-Styled Zederrian Technology Resource Pack by Zerrens in an attempt to provide the maximum possible coverage available to me (I am not a texture artist) for the mods in the modpack.
Neither resource pack is unmodified, however, I had to port some textures from versions of Unity for previous versions of Minecraft because they had become lost or incompatible in the transition from 1.7.10 to 1.10.2+, on top of the many textures from Zederrian Technology that required some very painstaking and time-consuming renaming to reflect the changes in texture names from v1.7.10 to v1.11.2.
Many textures used to use camelcase (itemName) type of names, but Minecraft v1.11.2 made lowercase (item_name) the standard.
It was all worth it at the end though, with the Zederrian Technology textures for GalactiCraft being among my favorites.

extreme micromanagement does not mean extreme survival.
Sometimes you have to kill the realistic elements of a game so that the things you want in a game come through.
What ALL GAMES NEED:
Clever/Engaging implementation of mechanics
An interface that allows the functionality of that implementation.
Temperature/thirst mechanics always seem to miss ALL THREE POINTS.
Temperature/thirst is not interesting nor is it novel
It is usually never presented with any clever or engaging mechanic (usually a bar with a penalty system... BORING!)
There is no clear interface that allows a player to meaningfully respond to changes in stimulus except for going for numeric efficiency. Again, boring.
