    posted a message on How do I update my texture pack from 1.8 to 1.9? Help very much appreciated

    Thanks again for the help. Got my pack up and working really well now in 1.9. Last issue I have is the blocks in my hands are really large looking. Almost like the scale is way off. I checked the "models", "item" folder and made sure the old scaling was replaced with the default files. Still didn't fix it. Any ideas?

    UPDATE: This is one of my item codes. This works for fixing the problem. I guess I need to do that to every single block in the game?? :-(

    {
    "parent": "block/grass_normal",
    "display": {
    "thirdperson_righthand": {
    "scale": [ 0.375, 0.375, 0.375 ]
    },
    "firstperson_righthand": {
    "scale": [ 0.375, 0.375, 0.375 ]

    }
    }
    }

    Hey Alvoria, I have my own 1.8 pack and was wondering what all needs to be done to convert it to 1.9? Is there a guide somewhere or a conversion tool? I heard it takes about an hour and a half to make the fixes and I am not even sure where to start. Any help would be appreciated :-)

    My light sources have an animated flickering that is very annoying and I am not sure how to get rid of it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

    UPDATE: Found the lighting map in mcpatcher folder was the culprit

    Strangest thing. I reloaded everything exactly like I did before but on a different computer and it works, haha. Must be I have a corrupt client on my laptop or something. Thanks CptSpaceToaster for a long awaited addition to Minecraft :-) Can only see this getting better! Keep up the hard work!

    I installed latest 1.7.10 Forge (1.7.10-Forge10.13.2.1277) and latest colored blocks mod. That's it. Game runs. Have new blocks. No colors show up. They all have standard glowstone lighting. Any ideas? Red doesn't look right either. Thanks :-)

    Update: After messing with the /lrbuild command this is about as close as you can get to the reach command. A bit confusing to use but for those looking for a quick tut:

    Pick an arrow or other tool from your inventory. Make sure it is highlighted and press T on keyboard. Type /lrbuild (leftclick) (rightclick)
    Ok thats the part that got me. In the leftclick and rightclick spot you will put the id tag of the block you wish to use for building. This can be changed at anytime by following the same steps.
    So for example you want to build a cobblestone wall at a long distance, you would type /lrbuild 4 4
    This will allow you to use the left and right mouse button to set cobblestone. This is not very efficient, so either choose 2 different materials to build with or use the air block to fix mistakes at a long distance.
    Again for example: /lrbuild 4 0
    Set cobble with left clicks and remove any blocks with right click.
    Hope this helps anyone else who is looking for this and might not understood how it worked. Thanks again to LoRam for pointing me in this direction.

    Was wondering if there was anyway to bring in the /reach command that the old SPC mod had? Would be nice to see this added. It is very valuable and missed since there is no where else to get it now :-( Thanks for your time!

    Anymore suggestions Battosay or Flowerchild? Screen keeps blackening upon the order you suggested. Can't believe no one else has tried this combo and not had problems, and if not answered me also. O well, 1.9 I will have to do this all over again anyways, lol...Thanks

    Delete the minecraft-1.8.1.jar in your bin, install all of the mods as mentioned above, then run the patcher.
    The patcher creates a backup when loader the 1st time, and it'll use this backup to patch. If the backup file was created previously, it might screw your install

    I always start each atempt with a brand new jar file. I delete the entire minecraft folder each time to make sure there are no remains from the first attempt. Thanks for helping me by the way :-)

    Looks like you didn't install BTW at all. You can't place it in your mods folder, you have to drag the file into the .jar manually.

    Tried that. I get a black screen. I deleted Meta-Inf folder, manually installed Mod Loader, manually installed Zombe, man. installed TMI, man. install BTW, created new mods folder for Zombe and put corresponding files there, ran HD Patcher, no Better Grass (option not available). Started MC and get the Mojang starter screen then Black.

    Hello everyone. I am a long time BTW mod user. I absolutely love it. I am running 1.8.1 and am trying to add BTW 2.96 to it and not having much luck. I know I have all the correct versions for each item needed to make all these work together, but I can't figure out the correct order to instal. One keeps overwriting the other. Game loads fine tho..Here's my mod list

    MC Patcher 2.1.2
    Modloader current version 10/8
    Forge 1.1.1
    Btw 2.96
    Zombe 4.37
    Zombe forge 1.1.1 fix 4.37
    TMI 11_09_27_1.8_fix (latest version)

    So basically I only want to run 3 mods with HD textures like I have been running on previous version of MC. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for updating this mod to 1.8.1!!! I will get this all to work one way or another,lol...

    I accidentally mixed all these together in an unknown order with SPC and all are working fine. Would just love to know how I did it. If someone could post the exact order in which to install the mods listed here, I would appreciate it.
