posted a message on Inventory Pets: Animated creatures that live in your inventory and give you amazing special abilities

Hiya! A comment, question, and suggestion for you!

Firstly, I don't think I've ever thanked you for this mod, so, thanks! It's such a fun one. My friends and I have enjoyed it over several versions in multiple different packs.

Secondly, the question: Is there a way to change the configs to allow holiday pets year round? I read the post about enabling the April Fool's pet, but how about the rest of them?

Thirdly, a suggestion! A pet suggestion, actually! ^_^

    -----------------------

Name: Tree Pet or perhaps Arborist Pet

    Appearance: A happy little tree

    Recipe:

    Sapling, Log, Sapling

    Bonemeal, Diamond Axe, Bonemeal

    Sapling, Shears, Sapling

Food: Saplings. Or if that is too cannibalistic, bonemeal

Abilities: Use-click instantly grows a planted sapling (and only saplings) to full growth. Sneak-use-click could either be hitting the leaves to shear them for leaf blocks, or acting as a scythe/sickle to quickly take them down. I'd lean towards the shearing option. Overall could be a simple but useful pet addition!

posted a message on Chisels & Bits + Flat Colored Blocks

Firstly I need to say this is an amazing mod. For decorators, builders, and perfectionists...the only limit here is our imagination! The possibilities are endless! :Diamond: Here's the random first item I made with it - thought my swamp area could use some 'life'

    Quote from AlgorithmX2»

This will be changing in C&B 1.9, along with most other materials, most things will be chisel-able, like dirt and sand.

I'm very glad to hear this. Was just starting a build and wanted some natural growth looks but couldn't cut grass. Will this also include leaf blocks?

Still getting comfortable with the controls and modes of chiseling. My main question is - when I was placing bits one at a time, bit by bit, via right clicking, there was a moment when I did something different or perhaps pressed an additional key, and instead of going on placing one bit at a time I had the option to drag out a line or a cuboid shape of my choosing and that area would be filled with the bits. Which is *so* much easier for certain times, ie like when I just want to fill the interior of that duck with all brown wool bits and not do it one by one. However I cannot for the life of me remember now how I did that xD How is it done? Help would be great appreciated!

@Karob, would you consider adding your mod to curse forge website so people can use it on curse launcher packs? :)

I'm here to ask this exact question! :D Our server is about to build a custom modpack using the Curse launcher, and those packs can only use Curse mods or mods on the approved 3rd party list. We are used to having the awesomeness of your Big Trees mod on our server and I think many of us explorer-type players would die a little inside if we couldn't see it anymore. Could you pretty, pretty please add it to the Curse mods? I've been told it's an easy process - going here and clicking on the 'Start Projects' for 'Mods'. Thanks for making such a great MC mod!

    Quote from McJty»

Are you aware this wiki page? https://github.com/McJty/RFTools/wiki/RFTools-Dimensions
It shows a few example dimensions. Perhaps this will clarify a bit better how it works? Let me know if you have further questions.

About the differences in dimlets. That's caused by your configs not being in sync with the server. The best way to solve that is to copy the dimlets.cfg from the server to the clients. This is no longer needed in recent versions of RFTools but unfortunatelly the RFTools in RR3 is too old.

Yes, I've been studying all of those wiki pages quite thoroughly! Some of my dimlet attempts work - ie, I throw a biome dimlet in there and the dimension usually has that specific biome. Some attemps do not - For instance I tried to make a dimension with simply molten gold lakes/oceans. I put a Molten Gold dimlet in the enscriber (1st topleft slot), then a Feature Lakes dimlet after it (2nd slot to the right of it). Didn't care about the other features, was just trying to get this one working first. That's it, pressed store. When I arrived at the dimension, no golden liquids :( What am I doing incorrectly? What dimlets do I have to put in, and in what order, to get that?

And am I correct in assuming that every time I want to change the Lakes, or ground block material, that I need to use a Feature dimlet each time? If so that seems difficult. I've collected a million Liquid type dimlets, but very few Feature dimlets

That update sounds exciting! I'm playing on a RR-mainline pack atm so I probably won't see those features soon, but still :)

A few questions as I learn more about your mod. I've been loving the dimensional builder aspect and it seems quite stable. The random 'luck of the draw' dimension creation is fun but I want to nail down the mechanics of the dimlets. Your wiki says that the order of the liquid and material dimlets matters - they have to go before what they are affecting. That makes sense. Is there a list somewhere of *all* of the possible dimlet tweaks just so we can see what a proper order would be? I must be doing something wrong, as the ones I'm attempting to create do not come out right. Let's say I have a 'molten gold' liquid dimlet. I don't care about any other features of the dimension, just want gold lakes/oceans :) I put that dimlet in the enscriber by itself and store the card. However, the dimension I get has a different liquid, not gold?

Another odd issue, perhaps not related but just odd - say I have a sky red dimlet in my hand. I toss it to my friend, and she says it is sky black. Toss it to another friend, they read it as sky green. Put it in a chest, we still all see differences. What might be causing this?

Thanks for your hard work on this great mod! :)

    Chisel stone

:D Well, I did try that before. No dice, it only has the 17 stone options that were there before. Which are lovely, but not those colored 4 that resembled the disordered plank stones. What I'm guessing is I am playing on a Resonant Rise (mainline) pack, which uses Chisel 2.3.5 it seems. Are those implemented in a later version?

Firstly, as a builder/decorator this mod is one of my absolute favorites. Props to the original creator, and many many thanks to you Cricket for continuing it.

Quick question - How does one make the 'stonebricksmooth', id # 1585? There's no recipe for the original block. The actual title in NEI is 'tile.chisel.stonebricksmooth2.name'

Holy wood has been replaced with Ethereal wood, and Bibliocraft needs to be updated to take this into account. So you'll need to poke the author to update the mod or possibly copy plank_ethereal.png and rename it to plank_holy.png in the jar files and do something similar with any others which are broken.

What are the requirements for Ethereal saplings to grow? We've had some out for quite a while, but no dice so far. Do they need a specific biome/configuration?

Firstly I need to say I love this mod so, so much. I want to have its babies.

My question is is there a list as to which items have usage functionality? Like sleeping int he bed, etc?

And future thought - A way to have different sizes of some of these items would be awesome. R2D2 is adorable but so small! :D

Thank you for making this mod!

Great mod! Thanks for providing something practical and fun for us decorator minecrafters! :)

I know everyone's throwing a lot at you in this thread, but I haven't seen it mentioned yet - any possibility of future compatibility with forestry/extra trees(binnie's) trees? I can just imagine a beautiful Blue Mahoe or Pink Ivory tree in those Garden Containers looking like lovely bonsai, or a rich selection of woods to use in those post fences! :-D *crosses fingers*

Is there a way to make pure skystone out of skystone cobble? The normal method of heating in furnaces doesn't seem to work. Is this possible? Or is the only way to get smooth skystone is using a silk pick?

Bosses will begin rolling out over the next few days during peak hours. They will be dropping essences which will be able to be used to enchant items with very powerful abilities. After that point we hope to make them a permanent fixture as part of our core gameplay. Use the ingame /compass command to learn how to make the Legendary Compass - A magical compass that points you towards the nearest boss.

    See you in-game, hunters!

I'm scared and excited at the same time!
