    posted a message on Modpack Server repeatedly crashing

    Hey guys, just an update, it's possible that I could have just overestimated my mob farm, when I loaded up the world in single player there were 1k entities loaded and I was getting 1-2 FPS, that at least explains the FPS lag, but I think it also explains the server being unable to start as well, even the most maintained servers would hardly be able to cope with 1k entities in 1 chunk.

    posted a message on Modpack Server repeatedly crashing

    Hey guys,

    Sorry if this is the wrong section, but it was the only section that I could think of putting it in.

    I have a modded server which has the mods from the most current version of the StoneBlock Modpack (1.0.16).

    Basically it was working up until I started having troubles with it yesterday and now I'm having issues starting it all together. I attempted to allocate more ram to it by adding a serverstart.bat file into the mix, that's when I started getting massive FPS issues, but I only added it because I was getting a lot of server delay. I play on the same computer that hosts the game, so I thought it must have just been the ram allocation being too low. I attempted to give it 4gb with this script;

    @echo off
    java -Xms4096M -Xmx4096M -jar forge-1.12.2-14.23.4.2760-universal.jar gui
    pause

    After I started using this it didn't work, so I backed it down to 2gb and that seemed to work (I didn't know that 2GB was the default at that time). It stopped working again after I attempted to add more ram to it again, however now I can't seem to get it back to the way it was, I even set it back to the same values that it was on before and it still doesn't work. I've tried just opening using the .jar file, but that still doesn't work. Here's the most recent crash report.

    Thanks in advance!!!

    posted a message on Looking For Modpack Testers!

    Hey guys,

    Seeing as you already clicked on this link you guys are probably wanting to have a brand new experience on a modpack that you've never played before, and this is exactly what I would like you guys to do as well. I am currently designing this modpack so that it will have either 3 or 4 different difficulties. "Vanilla" Modded, "Progression", "Advanced Progression" and maybe "Expert Progression." These are just generic names, they are about as well thought through as the name of the modpack "Custom Modpack", please give me suggestions with this as well.

    These difficulties will make it so that all of the tech mods are intertwined and you can't progress through one mod without progressing through all of them with needing to do some magic in between, or so that you can't start one mod before you finish another, i.e. needing different materials only a pulveriser can produce to create some parts of machinery for Advanced Rocketry.

    The List of Mods is as follows:

    Categorized for your viewing pleasure.

    Tech Mods:

    Advanced Rocketry

    Calculator

    Compacter

    NOTE: This will be prone to change. I want this modpack to stand out, therefore some of the generic mods that seem 'essential' to some people may be removes

    The traits that these people must have should be this;

    Honest, able to communicate when there's an issue, mature and have discord.

    If you assist in the creation of this modpack then you'll get a mention in the modpack page. The discord server that will be used is: https://discord.gg/BKYvcUB

    I hope to be working with you!

    posted a message on Novice Modder Looking For Basic Mod Ideas

    Hi,

    I'm not sure if it's a thing, but what if there was a mod that made it so that the Achievements section of minecraft was made into a HQM style thing where the achievements actually mean something. It seems like it might be semi-simple to do.

    I was wondering if someone could make this possible.

    Possible qualities of the mod:

    • In-game programmable control that opens the default minecraft achievements.
    • Adding rewards for achievements
    • Give the rewards a more 'tree' like quality rather than the randomness that it is.
    • Make it so that achieving certain things unlock different pages
    • Programmable achievements
    • Many other things

    Sincerely,

    Jadenizer4

    Hi,

    I was just watching a youtube video which had HQM on it and then they got an achievement, and obviously that made me confused as to why they weren't combined. I'm not sure if it's a thing, but what if there was a mod that made it so that the Achievements section of minecraft was made into a HQM style thing where the achievements actually mean something.

    I was wondering if someone could make this possible.

    If anyone could do this I think it'd turn out great.
