Mar 6, 2012Hello and thank you for reading this post.Posted in: Legacy Support
I've decided to make this forum post for two reasons,
One is to raise awareness to others and possibly the Mojang team about our serious problem.
Second is to have a topic for people with the same problem to go and add their story.
So, now the actual problem.
You may know about it already but for you who don't -
Many people after updating to 1.2 and over of Minecraft have been getting horrible and annoying lag spikes. The lag contains of FPS drops such as in my case, *108 Fps to 5FPS*, and major memory usage or RAM.
Here is an example of what it looks like when you press F3:
Now you may be thinking that this is just the usual old lag that happens all the time and we're just posting about it now.
Well, from my experience I've never ever lagged before like this. I used to be able to play on fullscreen for a good 2 hours and not get a dabble of lag. And i'm sure most of you haven't lagged before 1.2 either. So this is why we are posting about it now. I've tried game booster and all that good stuff but none of it has worked. I hope to try out Optifine when it get's updated but we'll have to wait.
So what I hope this post will do is possibly get Mojang or other very smart people to find out why this is happening after the 1.2 update and if they can fix it or what we can do.
How you can contribute to this post:
Just post a comment with "Bump" or w/e the hell you want to put.
In the comment, put your average FPS and put what your FPS drops to during the lag.
If you want you can add a picture.
If we can get a lot of people to bump this I'm sure someone is going to do something about the lag. Maybe they are already but anyway, this is just the proof.
Thanks for reading!
I have come accross something interesting that adds to this post.
*One day, I made a mountain. I decided to climb my mountain. When I was above the old height limit, I started to lag. And what I found out was I started to lag MORE when looking DOWN for some reason. The only thing I am thinking is "Anvil Problem".*
Anyways, thoughts? Ideas? Please post them on my forum topic about 1.2 Lag. Thank you
I do want to tell you guys though, I have tried the optifine mods, the first 3 on the topic page of it I think..but anyway, they do seem to have worked! They actually work very well. If you are avoiding trying to use the mod trust me, it's worth it. It's not a mod where you drop your files into minecraft and the game get's faster, It's a mod that adds in many, many, many more options to the video settings section which will ultimately improve your gameplay. It has worked for me I will say, as in I can play for quite some time and not get lag spikes anymore. Although If I leave minecraft running for say, more than an hour it will get a lag spike. BUT that's it!
So I really encourage you to try out the optifine mods to try to solve your gameplay and lag problems. If it doesn't than that's what this topic is for.
I'm not done with this though, I honestly really want to find out why us minecrafters all of a sudden lag when we've never lagged before? Or atleast and answer telling us that "Oh yeah we added something that some computers might not handle." I would still get pissed off though.
Nov 2, 2011Just looking for a survival, hopefully Vanilla server, that your not given handouts, but there's also NO PVP. By not giving handouts, I mean working for your stuff, so a truely survival server :biggrin.gif:.Posted in: Starting Up / Looking For Server
Nov 1, 2011What's something that you've grown attatched to, or just can't visualize your life without?Posted in: General Off Topic

Oct 31, 2011Posted in: MapsThe Blockcrew presents...It's a Trap!
It's a Trap! is a fun and clever map consisting of several chapters of fun and enjoyable puzzles, with many well designed traps. The map captures the fun components of an adventure map, while removing the laborious travel associated with that. It also keeps a key element of Minecraft within the map, that of placing blocks, which by finding bonus’s allows you to craft blocks to make your adventure easier.
- Play on peaceful

It appears that the original user that created the mod has abandon it and even worse, it looks as if after a few hours of searching that the page was deleted as well. So in affect I will keep the mod alive and easy to find here. YOU NEED Risugami's ModLoader!

Hope your satisfied with this. If not, send ME an email, and tell me what I can do to add, or improve about the forum or mod. Anything that I can do to help or make the mod better is appreciated (I will respond to emails or forum replies/PM's). Have Fun! :biggrin.gif:
Aug 29, 2011Posted in: Resource Packs
Ever wanted a texture pack but couldn't get used to it because it looked different from what you were used too? Try AesthetiCraft. I've always wanted to make a texture pack because I couldn't find one that could fit to my needs. I've tried texture packs like jolicraft, goodmorning craft & dokucraft. Neither of them seemed to fit. I'm aiming to make AesthetiCraft a 32x texture pack subtle to minecraft vanilla + what I want. Later on if I get much more support I will definitely make a customizer for this texture pack.
And because this texture pack is in currently a work in progress, I am open to any suggestions.
The To-Do List:
-Finish up terrain.png.
-Begin work on the rest of the items.png
Current Download (v3/1.9)
Support this texture pack with this sig!
-Use this texture pack & showcase it through a video/pictures.
-Use the signature above to spread the word.
You may not:
-Give others the texture pack claiming it was your own.
-Use the exact same textures without properly crediting me/summerfields' author.
