( Since the old topics were in February of 2010, and July of 2010, and was stickied in the 'General Discussion' sub-forum, and when Curse came in and took it down to the tools segment of the forums, I will refresh all the topic stuff here. It is for art and media purposes. :smile.gif: )

    MineCraft-Blender 3D Toolkit

About: Blender is a 3D freeware tool that allows us to not only mimic MineCraft, but to add on to it. Creating this toolkit, I have furthered the ease and production of simple MineCraft-esque media.

Right now, the Toolkit is being remade, so it will be available very soon.

Here are some progress pictures (THE CUSTOM MODELS MAY BE EXCLUDED FROM THE TOOLKIT FOR PERSONAL PROJECTS):

posted a message on [IDEA] Unified Modding System (U.M.S)
Hello. I am glad others are seeing this vision. I have spoken to the author of 'mine up!' to help me develop the architecture of this kind of project. I already have a assorted list of things to do, involving a front-end gui system and containment for server services via mod containment and such. I ask of MineUp! author and Robinton to help me do the bottom work as far as frame work for the loading and access of mods.

posted a message on SC2MC (SImCity2000 to MineCraft Map Creation Tool)
    The idea is basically this:

Load a save from Sim City 2000, take each tile as one chunk, and take schematics made for all buildings and parts and render a minecraft map save with all the pieces put together from a sim city 2000 map and play on minecraft.

Pictures referencing SC2000 if you dont know or have never seen it:

2 parts will go to this project:

    1) the program itself. Writing all the parts that read and render.

    Sim City 2000 File Format:
    http://djm.cc/simcity-2000-info.txt

That explains programatically how to read a sim city 2000 city save.

    2) the building of each building / part to a readable schematic.

    Ideas?

posted a message on Explode in water
You take an explosion method in World (or another way to point to a new explosion class correctly) and make the new explosion have little or no tick (statically set in code). After you do this, you retrieve the entity's x y z coordinates (floats i think) and get the Math.floor(var) values. Once this is done, you can worldObject.getBlockId(floordx, floordy, floordz) and ask if the ID is 8 or 9. When that returns true, then create the new explosion object.

posted a message on [ALMOST UPDATED] Ice Mod
Okay guys, I will give an update, I have been gone since august doing other things and learning other things, And I have a bad habbit of not doing before leaving.

The respected modder of MineUp! Has offered to update Ice Mod. He has done what I have wanted, and I feel that I might turn 1 dimension of dante's inferno into 9 dimensions, because now I can give something to reperesent the other levels and STACK them. Soo I should be getting back around to this mod again.

Trust me when minecraft is released fully, mod update issues should be a thing of the past...
