    What is this?

    "This" is the Cobble Galore mod for Minecraft 1.8! With this mod, you can finally put all that cobblestone you accumulate while mining to good use! New blocks, materials, and recipes are added which allow to consume large amounts of cobblestone in exchange for useful tools and building materials.


    As far as balancing goes, it seems to be fairly well balanced, in that to obtain the most powerful of the new materials, it will take QUITE a lot of cobblestone.


    As far as development: it's nowhere near its final form. While we hope it's at least at a point where it can be considered presentable, we certainly plan to add more as time progresses. This mod is in alpha, so please do not be too surprised if you see any bugs, and if you do, please report them.

    The Blocks and Items

    Cobble Galore adds the following blocks and items(screenshots coming soon):


    Packed Stone - Stronger building material than Cobbe.

    Compressed Stone - Even stronger.

    Refined Stone - Even stronger. Also makes tools better than cobble, not as good as iron.

    Reinforced Stone/Granite/Diorite/Andesite - Strong building materials.

    Strongstone - Makes strong tools.

    Whitestone - Building material.

    Blakstone - Very good furnace fuel.

    Ruffstone - Building material.

    Slistone - Makes tools and VERY strong weapons.

    Bloodstone - Makes powerful armor.

    Superstone - Makes strong everything.

    Installation

    In order to install:

    1. Be sure you have a version of Minecraft 1.8 installed on your computer. Run the Minecraft launcher and run a profile with Version 1.8 if you do not have one.
    2. Install Minecraft Forge for Minecraft 1.8 if you have not yet done so. Executable installers can be found from the Forge website. This mod was developed specifically with Forge 11.14.3.1450.
    3. Download the .zip file for Cobble Galore.
    4. Move the .zip folder to the /mods folder of your minecraft directory(%appdata%\.minecraft by default on Windows). DO NOT EXTRACT THE FILE!
    5. Run your Minecraft profile for 1.8 Forge, and the mod will take effect!

    JonTron Mod for Minecraft!


    Hello everyone, I've come to you with the most exciting news! I've just finished the first release version of the brand-new JonTron mod for Minecraft!


    In the JonTron Mod, you'll come across Jon and all his ECH-ness in certain biomes, including the Swamp and Extreme Hills. He'll speak and ECH at you, but be careful if you choose to attack him. Not only will he release his full ECHing abilities, but there is a chance that, upon death, he will summon the mighty Jacques to annihilate you.

    Another thing you'll find about the experience of playing Minecraft along with JonTron is that a new, peculiar ore will spawn about your world. This yellow ore, named Barryum after Barry's yellow text, can produce the most OP tools and armor available(disregarding other mods).


    Smelting this ore will give you Barry Powder, which can then be smelted again to give you a Barryum Ingot.

    Barryum at workBut wait, there's more! In order to actually make the Barry tools, you must compress Barryum with the following recipe:

    Compressing Barry

    Once compressed, you can craft tools and armor from Barryum as you would any ingot.


    Installation:

    1. Make sure you've run Minecraft 1.7.10 at least once on your machine.
    2. Install Minecraft Forge for Minecraft 1.7.10
    3. Download the mod's .jar file from the download link at the bottom of this page.
    4. Drag and drop that .jar file to your 'mods' folder(%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on PC). Create the folder if you don't already have it.
    5. HUEGH!

    posted a message on [Windows + Mac OS + Linux] [Modding] 1.8 .JSON File Generator! Made for modders, by a modder. :)
    Forgive my stupidity but I have absolutely no idea where to put the JSON file. I put it under src/main/java/assets/model/ITEMNAME, and the png in src/mina/java/assets/MODID/textures/items. I got a 'Unable to load item model 'MODID:item/ITEMNAME' for item 'MODID:ITEMNAME'.

    any ideas why?

    EDIT: Haha... ok so I misspelled "models", my bad. So I've gotten the exception to disappear, but now it still won't load the texture, I just get the default pink/black block. Any ideas why?
    EDIT: Oh man, I'm sorry for all these edits. Again, just a typo. Anyone know how I set the actual names for items? Isn't there a function for that? Or how I get blocks to generate in the world like ores? Add new biomes?

    So I got the most recent version of FML and am trying to make mods with it. I have a problem, however, and that is that I can't figure out what function sets the textures. setTexture() setTextureName() and func_somethingorother() don't reigster as being actual functions in Eclipse. Anyone know?

    Oh crap! I lost my login info and just got it back, so sorry for such a late update. I've been unable to update the mod so far due to coding conflicts, and I really am not a programmer of a level anywhere near where I'd have to be to add a HUD or battle system, mob geass control, etc..

    Sorry, I thought that was a reply to my post, my mistake. But I'm not redistributing anything of the mod files, and I'll hold off the spotlight then. But it seems your mod does have the capacity at the moment to work with all of the minecraft mobs, with nothing more than adding the sprites and scripts and altering the config file, why limit it to those three mobs if it can already work with all of them without even changing the mod files? I guess if it acutally causes a bug or some other problem it needs to be fixed, but you should know that, whether you realize or not, you mod is perfectly able to be applied to all mobs. Just my feedback as a "tester".

    How am I redistributing anything? I simply edited the config to work with other mods, I don't see editing the config violates the liscenese, and what am I redistributing? You mean the script itself? I can remove that from the post if necesary.
    By the way, I'm aloud to make a mod review video on YouTube, as long as I link to this page or to mobtalker.net, and not to any other downloads or thrid party pages, right? I was planning on making a review to let a few more people know about this, but I just want to check to make sure it's okay.

    Sorry for the double post but... I can get scripts to load for mob "Spider"(can activate script when talking), and can load images when they're in the resource pack, and I believe this can be done wit most if not all mobs.
    Also, when trying to talk to a creeper, I added a menu, and one choice works fine, but the other causes the script to just freeze until I hit esc.

    Any ideas what's causing this, the added image is working fine though. If you could tell me why it is the script doesn't work, or if it's just a glitch with the mod, I'd appreciate it.

    I don't know what you do or don't already have planned, but how about functions to control the mob's hositlity, as well as follow and escort. Perhaps you could have functions to check if a creeper is charged, and add sprites for a charged creeper. I was apparently among the first to download this alpha release and would be happy to help in any way I can.
