Now I place a mosasaur egg in deeper water, but then it just disappears after a while. It never hatches.... Am I doing something wrong? I hatched a Pterosaur and a Raptor successfully...

I want to hatch a Velociraptor egg, but I keep getting an error saying "Creature cannot spawn here" no matter where I put it...

EDIT: Wait, no, it's my Mosasaur egg...

Awesome mod! Can't wait for 1.0.0 to come out so I can add them to the game. :biggrin.gif:

Got tons of ideas for Mo'Creatures (if you ever have the time to make them):

-Orcas (AKA Killer whales, act like wolves)
    -Whales (GIANT!!!!!!)
-Plants (if you can make animals, I'm sure you can make plants too. There's a lot to expand on with plants. Seaweed. Fruits, vegetables, Venus Fly Traps, etc.)
    -Bigfoot (Basically a large zombie.)
-Chupacabra (to eat the goats everyone wants. :tongue.gif: )
-Plesiosaurs (the Loch Ness Monster, basically)
-Dinosaurs (of all sorts. Raptors, T-rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Sauropods. Perhaps a separate pack, a Prehistoric Mo'Creatures, with dinosaurs and/or Ice Age creatures like mammoths and Smilodon.)
-Bats (for the caves, of course.)
    -Elephants, rhinos, hippos.
-Giraffes, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, other African herbivores.
-Squirrels and other small creatures (collect seeds/nuts and plant them, causing trees to sprout)
-Snakes (small garter snakes, rattlers/cobras, and giant anacondas!)
-Insects (perhaps normal size, just for atmosphere. Flies, butterflies, dragonflies, mosquitos, etc. Bees, with honey-filled hives. Or make them giant and deadly, like the Spiders and Scorpions)
-Sand Worms (like Silverfish, but with sand)
-Dragons! (I know Notch already made dragons, but expand on them, or make different kinds like a sea-serpent, or one that belches lava.)
-Aliens (from little gray aliens which mess with your chests and redstone items, to Pandora creatures, to the Xenomorphs from the Aliens movies)
-About a billion other things. :tongue.gif:

Just some ideas which I'm sure others have suggested. Great work thus far. LOTS of potential with this mod. Wish I was able to mod MineCraft, but I don't have the knowledge nor time. Otherwise, I'd be going crazy making all of the ideas I just mentioned.

What I did, is DON'T try the terminal method. Instead, just drag the files into minecraft.jar and delete META-INF. This worked fine for me.

Nope, still don't work. There's nothing new in the Mods and Texture Packs section, and none of the mod's features are available when I play the game...

I'm having trouble. Modloader doesn't seem to be working. I'm using a Mac, I've used the terminal method, placed all the class files in minecraft.jar and the mctmp folder, deleted the META-IF folder, and nothing seems to be working... And my minecraft.jar, when updated to 1.9.6, still makes the game play 1.8.1...

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a visual confirmation in the game? Because I don't see anything that says ModLoader, and when I do place mods into minecraft.jar, they don't seem to work... I'm particularly trying to do this mod, but nothing's working...

I can't seem to be able to install the 1.9.6 version. I remove minecraft.jar and replace it entirely, but the game still plays 1.8.1......

Winrar doesn't seem to want to install on my Mac... I found RarExpander, but that doesn't work for the .jar file....

EDIT: I used my Archive Utiilty to expand minecraft.jar, but I get a large list of classes from a-z (no specifications as to what they are) and I still can't open them....

Hey, I'm new to the forums and modding, but I'm no stranger to Minecraft. :smile.gif: I'd like to make some mods to this game, but I have a couple questions first...

One: I know I can download the source code/minecraft.jar file, but I can't seem to open it. I'm using a Mac computer, and the default jar opener program doesn't work... Any ideas with that?

Second: one of the mods I want to make is to remove mods or replace mobs with something entirely different. I have an idea of making a mod that spawns more realistic creatures, like bears, indians, and other animals/creatures for different biomes, and I don't want zombies and stuff like that in it (Possibly boring in comparison, yes I know. :tongue.gif: I have a dinosaur-world idea, which would make the game a LOT more exciting. :wink.gif: ). Is that possible?
