posted a message on Enderbeast - New mob idea(with pictures!)
Now first of all please bare with me here as I am not the best artist and I was using MS paint. Anyway I have an idea for a new hostile mob that could be added to Minecraft, I call it the Enderbeast.

    Picture 1

This is a very rough idea of what it would look like drawn in MS paint with the 2 pale and blue blocks representing a player. What the Enderbeast would do is it would tend to hide in the shadows(even more than the creeper) and only advance towards the player when the player's back was turned to it. The Enderbeast would only attack when the player is facing the other way unless attacked first, otherwise the Enderbeast would prefer to move and stay hidden in the shadows.

The Enderbeast's main attack would be sneaking up on a player making very little to no sound and if given enough time with the players back turned the player would see hands or claw reaching from the edges of the screen as seen here(thanks to MS paint once again) maybe with some form of audio cue that could sound like the wallmasters from Zelda: OoT heard here. The Enderbeast would then grab the player from behind and pull the player towards it using its long arms/legs, it would then lay the player down on their backs on the floor(this is all happening kind of quickly mind you) so that the player was on the ground on their backs looking up towards the ceiling. The Enderbeast would then stand over the player, look at him/her in the face and stretch it's jaw out and swallow the player. The player's screen would be swallowed by the Enderbeast's mouth and cut to black and then death.

As you can tell the Enderbeast would be a stealth based mob primarily spawning deep underground and only where it is very dark. The Enderbeast would not attack until the player was facing away where it would slowly approach the player. If the Enderbeast was discovered and attacked the Enderbeast would defend itself by standing on its back legs(so now it is a bit taller than normal) and slash at the player with its front arms/legs which are rather sharp doing 3 hearts on easy and normal and 4 hearts on hard. The main grabbing attack if successful(remember this attack takes some time) would be fatal to the player.

It would appear to look like a mix of a Xenomorph from the Alien franchise and a spider, with black armor like skin and deep purple eyes. I was inspired by the ReDeads and Wallmasters from the Legend of Zelda series. A mob that would truly strike terror in Minecraft players was my main goal. What do you think?

posted a message on Xbox 360 controller support
I was thinking since a version of Minecraft is coming to the Xbox 360 could the PC version get some kind of support for controllers? I want to be able to use my Xbox 360 controller to play Minecraft on the PC with button mapping and such like many PC games have. Having the option to play with a keyboard and mouse or a controller would be wonderful I feel. This may sound strange but I just feel more comfortable holding a controller than fumbling around with a keyboard and mouse, this could give me the confidence to go down that deep dark cave or fight the hoards of zombies and skeletons that as of now I feel nervous and down right scared about. Thoughts?

posted a message on The Minecraft for Xbox Thread
Why are you all angry about Minecraft coming to Xbox? Seriously? What because you all fear the xbox fanboys will come here and spoil your special little club? Seriously the PC Elitists on this board are just as bad if not worse.

    Get over yourselves.
