I hear ya, it is quite unfortunate. Since it's not technically a "bug", and more of a "removed feature" I don't have much hope that they will implement it into this new version. But rumor has it that they are adding a free cursor to the inventory interface on the next update, so they seem to be listening to people's complaints. They've always done a pretty good job at this, although sometimes it takes a while for them to respond, as per normal when you run a very busy company that has had Microsoft breathing down their necks since the takeover. *sigh* This is just my luck though. All my favorite games seem to get crapped on at some point. The saving grace with Minecraft, is that they are always working on it, whether it's improving or not is solely up to personal opinion.

Also, I tested the online/offline thing. It does actually pause the game if you are set to "offline". Stays live when you're online though, that sun just keeps on moving. This was tested on my XB1 edition, I'm not sure if you can do the same on other platforms.

Yeah, I also think that the "Quit w/o saving", and "turn off auto-save" features were left behind with the console editions. It's a bummer yes, but the other platforms have had this all along, so it just makes you more inclined to avoid certain situations. Yeah, re-building is a pain, and losing your good equipment is bar none infuriating, but it's just new precautions you need to take, like for instance, not hitting the ground or a pool of lava at mach speeds in your elytra. Or, always making sure to bring a fire resistance potion to the nether, no matter what. Little things like that, will help improve your experience as you adjust to this style of playing. I, myself have exited w/o saving many times on XB1, mainly due to having all mending gear and not wanting to take the chance of it despawning.. but even then I always felt like it was a bit "cheaty". But dang it if it wasn't a handy option to have! As far as pausing the game goes, I always thought it was dependent on if it was an "online" game or not. I might have to test that out again.

posted a message on Game Crash during converting from xbox one edition

I'm having troubles with this as well. I downloaded the BTU version yesterday, and almost immediately tried transferring my old world which I've ran since 2014 on my 360. I had expanded it to large when I switched it over to the XB1 in 2015, and like many others, had no trouble whatsoever, most likely because they were essentially the same game down to their core.. So first thing I noticed, my large world was over 280MB, while my classic sized creative map was a measly 9.5MB.

1st attempt: I had a texture pack on in the new version, and my last known location in the old version was on top of one of my builds. It crashed the new version at around 84% downloaded.

2nd attempt: Tried it again with no texture pack, crashed again at 84%.

3rd attempt: Went back to the old version, turned those textures off, and went to a flat open area on the center map, but away from my builds. Tried transferring for a third time, crashed again at 84%.

4th and final attempt: This last time I tried to transfer the creative world instead, it's rather small, so I figured it would be easy peasy. I was so wrong. Crashed this time at around 60% in no time flat. MISSION FAILED.

Wasted over an hour on this, and each time I have to reset the console, because it locked up on that black screen 3 out of 4 times minecraft had crashed. It's looking like I must wait for a patch that fixes this issue, do more experimenting, or be forced to start fresh. Upon hearing all these horror stories of builds being erased, and landscapes being marred with new chunks and landscapes, I think I'm going to wait it out, and see if a patch comes. Until then, I guess new beginnings are in order. *sigh* all that mending gear too...

Hello Darkness! (and Alpha and Mac) My name's Dizzle and I've been looking for people to play survival with. Hell, I even made my own thread, but that didn't work out so well. So I gave up for a spell. But I'm back on the search! I have a few worlds of my own, but I would be happy to join one of yours, or we can use mine, it's whatevs. Some of my "skills" would be, farming, potion brewing, using resources efficiently, stuff like that. Haven't really dabbled into redstone stuff much, but I know some basics. I do have a mic, and am online quite often. So feel free to add me if you'd like! I hope to hear from you! Oh, and my GT is JDizz269

posted a message on Looking for players to start a new world with! (21+)

During the week, I'm usually online anytime after 11pm (EST). Then on weekends (depending on my schedule) I'm usually on around midnight. It really just depends on what I have going on, sometimes I'm on for just a couple hours, other times I'm on for quite a few!

posted a message on Looking for players to start a new world with! (21+)

    Hello there!

First off, thanks for taking the time to read this! Let's get to the nitty gritty shall we?

I'm a Michigan based gamer looking for mature people to play Minecraft with. We can start a new world, or use an existing one if we don't want to start off with just a map. If that's the case I have at least two decent worlds ready to go! Ages 21 and up are preferred (I'm 24). I'm currently sick of playing alone, and/or with immature grievers, hunger games enthusiasts, etc..I've been searching for a while for decent like minded people to play with, but I always end up in the wrong crowd. I play mostly on Survival (normal difficulty), and am currently working on those new achievements we just got not too long ago. I only have 2 to go. (Passing the Time, and Diamonds to You!) I'm a good team player, and listen when tasked to do something. i do have a mic, but I'm rather quiet. I speak when spoken to though! If you're interested in adding me, reply to this thread, or send me a message on XBL. If you do that, PLEASE let me know you came from the forums! Otherwise, I'll just think you're one of those "friend of a friend" types who just comes into a world, just to look in a chest and then promptly leave, and then you probably won't get added.

    Some of my main skills in game would be;

    - Gathering needed resources. ("We need 23 wood, not three stacks of sand!")

    - Farming, and Food Production. ("Where did all the cows go?!")

    - Potion Brewing. ("Go get a blaze rod they said. It'll be fun they said.")

    - Building design. ("Well, here we are on the 104th floor, all finished! wait. It's 35x36, not 35x35! FUUUUUUUU")

    - Staying alive. ("lolz")

Again, thanks for viewing! Hope to hear from y'all!

posted a message on Looking for adult friends to play Minecraft with, 30+

Hi there! I may not be 30 yet, but I am a close 25..:] I'm currently sick of playing alone, and/or with immature grievers, etc..I've been searching for a while for decent like minded people to play with, I play mostly on Survival (normal difficulty), and am currently working on those new achievements we just got not too long ago. I only have 5 to go, the two end related achievements, the 100 days, the biome discovering, and the throw some diamonds at somebody one. I've heard simply hopping onto another persons map will pop some of these, but I'm not sure. Feel free to add me, I'm usually on at night (EST). I do have a mic, and my main skills in game would be; Staying alive(lol), gathering food, potion brewing, and building design. (if only i was good with redstone!)
