I have no interest in the books or the movies, I tried reading the first book a while ago and it was one of those ones where I had to force myself to read it. It probably doesn't help that I mostly read war and music biographies. The concept is cool though, I haven't played any Minecraft HG servers, but I played this Halo Reach hunger games map with 10 or so people and it was decent. It does slightly rustle my jimmies that everybody is wetting their pants over the movies though.

I like the server so far. It's nicely set up with the warp to trees for easy access to wood right away, the warps for different towns, and the simple chest/door protection. +1

Yeah I agree.
- How would you contribute to our server and what do you plan to build?
Honestly, I don't really plan stuff. I just start with an idea of what I'm building and go from there. And as far as contributing, I can help with other user's projects if they need it, etc.
- How long have you been playing Minecraft? Optional: Post a link to your best build.
I've been playing for a few years. Today was my first time on since the 1.1 update though.

The last version I played was either 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 or something with 0's and 1's. The last bit of news I remember reading about this game was the snapshot that let you place upside down stairs and stuff.
Oh yeah and just so you know, I'm not too lazy to look for topics that have this info. I just have to go somewhere in about half an hour so I just want a quick summary of what I've missed. And one more thing. Does the topic title on here automatically go all caps? Because I didn't type it in all caps, and it's annoying me. Haha
MOD NOTE: I wasn't sure whether to put this topic in Support or Off-Topic because it isn't really a problem with Minecraft itself. If you believe it should go to a different board then feel free to move it!

Hello, linux noob here, I'm running Xubuntu 11.04 (as stated in the title), and I'm trying to record Minecraft with GLC. At first I tried typing this into the terminal:
glc-capture minecraft
and it wouldn't work. But then, I realised I'm a noob at Linux and did some Google searches and got it to launch Minecraft but with errors.

It launches the minecraft launcher just fine, but when I start the game, this comes up in the terminal:

Thanks for any help!

Definitely getting it seeing as I play Minecraft on a laptop that's meant for business stuff and not gaming. So, MC on the Xbox will be beneficial to me. Don't care much about having mod support on Xbox, however it would be quite nice.

GLC is supposed to record with better FPS. I'll try it anyway though.
