Ofcourse, it has a big purpose in the game and definitely with enchanting. The game is not made to be easy. When you finish completing a mob farm and able to farm to level 30 quickly, thats the high I get when I play games. If EXP was easy to get people wouldn't bother to make exp farm because there wouldn't be a point. It makes the game more interesting and more things to achieve. Get out there and make a mob farm!

No, I believe he has made the game very challenging and amazing especially with the new content and definately makes the game more interesting. I used to always see myself downloading mods instead of playing Vanilla minecraft but since the new contents I find myself sticking to Vanilla Minecraft. He has made the game definately more interesting.

Delete your whole minecraft.net folder, make sure you save all your progress then at the launcher, ensure you click force update and redownload the whole file again. What error message is it showing?

Try updating your JAVA, make sure the correct you downloaded the correct bit. 64, 32 etc. Also update your graphics card driver.

First of all not everyone has a HLS. Secondly not much work would be done so high up. It would just be a waste of code. I rather Mojang focus more on development of Minecraft in the features used daily rather than features used rarely.
