I started playing Minecraft again on a new seed. And I found 2 villages. Both in a snowy area. Both with messed up farms because of the snow cover. I threw up a glass ceiling, plowed and planted, things are ripe, but the villagers wont work the fields, at all. They pick up food I throw at them so I think they are hungry but they do nothing to feed themselves like they used to a year ago, or whatever.
Am I missing something? Note that I am not trying to build an automated farm or anything. It's even regular village spawned fields. Just with a glass roof (and a few torches) I put up so it wouldn't get snowed over.

Sony has been the target of a lot of attacks on a very large scale over the past few weeks from DDoS and hacker groups protesting the company. If you received your new PS4 this morning or even last night and have been unable to connect to PlayStation Network or other aspects of the PS4, please be patient as this is something that we are all dealing with.
It's unfortunate that we as gamers have become the collateral damage of protesters and hacktivists, but these things happen and there's nothing we can do about it. I know many of you are excited to plug in and play your new games for the first time, but you're not alone. Xbox is going though the same thing, although because Microsoft has a much larger network infrastructure, the problems aren't nearly as widespread.
Being someone who's worked with networking and server maintenance before, an attack of this scale, from potentially hundreds of thousands of people in different countries isn't exactly something that Sony, or any company, can just quickly fix and keep from happening.
TL;DR: Sony is under attack by hackers, so their network including DRN check for games might be offline.

Starting Map: About 1/3 water with several Shroom islands (in the center) and 1/3 snowy plains and snow covered mountains (to the east). No Villages that I could see.
North Map: Pretty much 100% snow covered. Most of it is plains and mountains. Perfect if you want a vast snow covered building area that's not run over by wolves. No villages so you will have to build your own town in the alps and get villagers to migrate.
North-North Map: Mishmash of different biomes. 2 villages with churches and blacksmiths. Saw a few desert temples as well.
North-East Map: Mishmash of different biomes. 1 full sized village and 1 tiny village right next to it. Also has some desert temples.
To the South& South-East: Lots of ocean biomes
Did not explore to the west at all

Not certain when it's coming (it may already be in) but there's actually a sub category of Taiga that increases the potential hill height (bringing back some of the really nice 1.6.6 terrian potential). I believe in the biome list it is referred to as Taiga Hills (with the corresponding Forest Hills as well).
yay, this makes me happy.

Jan 1, 2013Mostly it's just pointless. If I wanted to I could make a sculpture of 2 giant butt cheeks excreting lava right by the spawn point. Sure it would take some time, depeding on how large of a fanny I would make. But if wanted to profanely insult anyone who plays my world, I could do it without a single sign. Rather vividly. So why bother with censoring to such stupid levels.Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
Jan 1, 2013My sheep don't seem to regrow their wool yet. I guess that is in a future update? Can still save my dyes by breeding since the lambs seem to usually take the color of the parent that I feed. Also, sheared sheep seem to be sterile, so have to breed them before hand!Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
I have not had any of my captured animal poof on me, that I have noticed. But the 2 wild roaming mooshrooms has vanished without a trace and no new ones have spawned. I checked the ocean around the island, no sign of them. As far as I know, they don't have any unique resource, so it wont hinder my world any that they are gone. But still a bit of a bummer.
What I really hate is the constant panicy crying and leaping against the fences from my domestic animals. Holy tapdancing Santa, please calm the animals down in a future patch. I want my flock to be peacefully roaming adound, eating grass, occationally letting out a baaa(or oink, bock or moo). Right now they are acting like I threw in a pack of wolves in there with them.
Dec 16, 2012I say it's worth it. The simpler than PC interface makes it very user friendly. With split screen (if you have an HDTV) 2-4 people can play together on the same XBox, so good for friends and family who like to play games together. You can also play together, online, on seperate consoles if everyone has an XBox gold membership.Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
Plus, you know, it's basically legos. Everyone likes building with legos!
Does the XBox have a trial for minecraft? If so, try it first!
Nov 17, 2012Izuela posted a message on Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition Request/Suggestion ThreadOn the subject of things to dye I want to add water sources. Yep, I want colored water. So I can make stuff like tar pits, sewage, pixie ponds, blood pools and whatever else I can think of.Posted in: MCX360: Suggestions
Nov 16, 2012How much are those things anyway. How much juice do they have and hows the durability? Wondering if buying a regular battery charger would be better. Like this one that comes with 4 2000mAh AA batteries for $30 (free shipping) ----> http://www.amazon.co..._pr_product_topPosted in: MCX360: Discussion
Nov 16, 2012Either keep trying with random seed until you find one you like. Or you can go to this seed list and look at all the screenshots and pick one that you think looks nice---> http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1531062-182-mcxbla-seeds-list/Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
Nov 15, 2012Depends on where you are it seems. Out in the open I can still swim well enough even when far far below the surface. In narrow crevices and such there seems to be a down suction effect that pulls me down every time I take damage. Think it's like an invisible underwater waterfall that happens on uneven terrain.Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
