Here are some ideas I can think of, Since you know how to make a mob pickup items, what if a zombie picks ups near by gunpowder you didn't pickup from killing a creeper and that zombie get the ability to explode but you wouldn't know because they keep their zombie skin and you get close to him and BOOM he explodes. One more, What if any mob (Maybe mainly skeletons) picks up a spider eye and when the mob attacks you (shoots you if only skeletons) you get poisoned and another, if you right click a mob with a mob drop (string for spider, gunpowder for creeper, bone for skeleton) the mob you right click on will be on your side and kill that specific mob you used with the drop BUT, they can't kill their own kind and if you do make them they will get more mad at you and get stronger or something idk.. maybe to much? (with the more mad thing?) But yea.. Those ideas literally came to me while writing.. Um yea k bai. Gonna go test the mod now..Posted in: Minecraft Mods -

Spiral dungeons causes a fairly distinctive set of structures to spawn in your world - most of which contain some light treasures and some monster spawners. These vary in difficulty from houses you could just move into, to pretty easy, to "best handled by taking them to pieces".
It's a new mod?
Not exactly. This is a repackaging of the Ruins mod maintained by AtomicStryker (originally by d00dv4d3r, and maintained for a while by kolt666 ass well), with an alternate set of structures. And, yes, this repackaged distribution has been checked with AtomicStryker.
Here are few quick-and-dirty screenshots of the outsides of a few of the structures (there are about a dozen structures all told), including a flying site, a platform of stilts, a bunch of stuff.
Requirements!
You must have modloader. You must have Forge.
Getting it!
It's on Google Drive. Follow this link, and on that page, click "file" in the upper left, and "download".
Installing it!
Unzip the .rar file, and drop the contents into your mods folder. Done. This is hopefully easy enough that you can see if you like it by just tossing it in there, and then taking a test flight in Creative mode to see if you like what you're getting.
Some notes....
Compatibility!
It should be compatible with most things; see AtomicStryker's thread for things people have found, and detailed technical know-how; he's the coder, I'm just a guy with a growing collection of buildings that I wanted to keep together.
I know for sure it's compatible with Mystcraft. In fact, that's what I play it with.
I already have Ruins!
Then you'll want to drop the new templates into your existing ones, and not the other way around. The global rules in the .txt file here will do crazy things if you put those templates into this setup.
I'd like to adjust the common-ness of strutures!
In the ruins.txt file, you'll see:
tries_per_chunk_normal=1
chance_to_spawn_normal=20
To change structure frequency, alter either of these numbers - but a couple notes there:
- Chance to spawn can go up to 100; to halve the frequency, reduce it to 10. To double the frequency, raise it to 20.
-Raising tries per chunk to 2 doubles frequency, but also means that your machine will examine each spawning chunk twice, or three times, or whatever. Pumping up the tries per chunk can cause lag; that's why it's set as low as possible.
You'll also see biome frequency numbers; these work the same way, and also go to 100, but only affect the biome. Be aware, if you put a structure template directly in the ruins folder, and not in specific biomes, this setup means it'll spawn way more often.

What's next?
Note that this is 1.0; it's fully playable, and out of draft mode. But there are things that'll be seeing action in future: Not all biomes spawn structures regularly - plains, oceans, and deserts get the most, by a vast margin; forests get very, very few spawns; jungles almost never spawn structures at all. Still, I'm leaving the base frequencies low; the fixes need to go in the buildings, not the frequency.
Also, more structures are still on the way - the total selection right now is a bit limited. So, in keeping with that: If you're going to cover a lot (and I mean a lot) of ground, reduce the frequency to avoid too many repeats. -
