-A woman is in the middle of constructing a wall for the town she resides in. You see two other men doing the same in the distance. She spots you and is immediately hostile towards you, the wandering stranger. First, diffuse the situation and then take it from there.
Woman: "What is it you want?! Do you have any business residing in that same spot staring like a moron while I work away?"
She conspicuously looks at the wondering fellow, gazing at his green eyes before noting the elongated ears
"Are you an elf?! I've yet to seen your kind here nor have I expected too, still what business do you seek now that you've wasted my time?!
Talunus: "M'lady I apologize with all remorse, I meant no disrespect. I hail from Elwyn, a far off land, please allow me to assist you for the time I have waisted."
Talunus quickly scrambles to unhilt his sword and rush to the wall, wondering what matter of building she was doing to begin with with the wall.
"Erm..what shall I do my lady??" Tal' asks with the dumbest look on his face.
Woman: "You can start by answering my question Elf, what business do you have poking your elongated ears here in Bide?!" The woman asks in a snarky manner.
Talunus: Tal' cleared his throat as he brushed the invincible dirt off his plated armor," I seek to build anew, mke a new home for myself, for the kindom I've far traveled from was...was..was ravaged by trolls and orcs.."
Woman: The woman beins to sadden if but only for a moment before she sharpens back up to her two bit presence," Well go on elfy don't stumble and fall before me over some kingdom of yours... Which I'm sorry to here about.." She says in a not so sorry attitude. " If you keep going south for a few more miles you will come upon a city where you can start your..your journey. Now run along!" The lady quickly turns back to her wall, grabbing her tools.
Talunus:" Thank you m'am I appreciate it!" Talanus springs to his sword and hilt as he says so. " May the gods watch over you!" Talunus begins sprinting north for no matter of reason except with excitement.
Woman: the woman looks at the overjoyed Elf running off in the wrong direction," Well I did tell him south..."
-A player who is RP’ing as an inventor is working on a prototype engine in his open air workshop located in town. Another player who plays a notorious street thug starts harassing the inventor for money and machine parts. Interact with them.
Having finally corrected his travel to the south, Talunus finds the small city villge where he seeks to begin his true adventure in Bide. Every step as exciting as the last, the Elf continuously moved his swiveled head to all the auspicious noises, artifacts and people. All such wondrous things he thought, curiously looking around the courtyard of merchants, blacksmiths, and tradesmen. But of all the noises, there was one he knew would never escape no matter what land he headed onto. The sound of a panic cry for help
Tal' quickly bolts to the location, a small workshop with machines clanking and clunking, but pass the fray of bots and bolts Talunus saw the comotion, a small, frail old man with a goggled forehead, quariling with a ragged hooded figure.
Old Man:" Stay back you fool I shall offer you nothing you squanderrer!"
Hooded man:" Give me the coins or you sha'nt see another day old fool!" The hooded figure quickly draws a small bronze dagger, pointing and wavering it around to the elderly.
Talunus, using his agility, swiftly swept up behind the hooded figure, pinching the mans pressure point above the shoulder as he bends the knife wielding hand behind the perpetrator's back," And what exactly do you think you are doing fella?"
Hooded man:"Ah..aahh ahh!"
Talunus:" Oh yea sorry about the." Tal releasing the preasure point but keeps a firm grip on the hooded mans shoulder. "Now what is it you think you are doing? Thieving?!"
Hooded man:" I.. I I don't know what I was doing sir!..." The hooded perp tries to look behind to get a look at Tal with only his long Elven ears coming into view." Are you an Elf?!"
Old man:" Indeed he looks it! Thank you for the help kind elf, what can I ever do to repay you?!"
Talunus:" Well you can decide the fate of this burglar here? Though he certainly wasn't a very goo one at that.." Tal' chuckles to himself.
Hooded man:"Please spare me! I was just doing what I must to get food for my children! It is a hard world out there!"
Old man:"Nothing is ever to hard if you have the drive, the right drive that is!" The old man started poking at the wannabe thief with a strange metallic stick that Tal' ha never seen the likes of. "I leave your fate in the hands of your captor here you idiot! What good would an old man like me do with your life in my hands? In my days we'd cut your hands off!"
Hooded man:" Please please not my hand! I use it for!..things..!" The man says in a panic
Talunus:" Look here, I can smell your scent from a mile away now you got me?!" The hooded man shakes his head. "Good, then take this and get food for your children, but here my warning human, If I ever her of you ctually successfully being a good thief, I will find you...and take a hand!" Talunus boos to the hooded figure as he lets him go. He reaches to his side for a small pouch that clangs of coins as he throws it to the thief.
Hooded man:"Tha tha thank you sire! You have my word," The man yells as he makes his post haste out the doorway of gizmos and gadgets.
Old man:" Now most men would not have done such a thing s you have done. His head would've been on a spike in a matter of minutes to be precise!" The elderly man says chuckling with excitement
Talunus:"Well I am Elven to begin with, and most men would've stolen what was in his pocket after his death. Hypocrites...But if you would excuse me! Great adventure awaits!" Tal' says as begins walking towards the doorway, flicking a shimmering object on his way.
Old man:"WAIT!" The old man yells as he puts his hand up as if to freeze Tal' in his place,"I didnt even catch my saviors name!"
Talunus:" Turning to the old man with a wide smile," Talunus, Talunus Skyfeather."
Are you clicking "Installer" or "Installer-win"? The "Installer-win" will give you the .exe file needed to install into Windows. If this (for some reason) doesn't work try the "Universal" file.
This indeed was the problem! However for Optifine I still receive as a rar file?
You may have downloaded the wrong kind of Forge installer, if you go to the forge download page http://files.minecraftforge.net/ you'll see there are a couple of different kinds. Clicking the "installer" icon should get you the right one for Windows I believe. Good luck!
Hey guys I'm currently trying to download and install Forge and then Optifine. When I watch youtubers download the mods, they are able to open the Forge mod directly from the .jar file after download. Now my case is interesting and I definitely need help, Once I download the forge.installer.jar, It appears as a .rar icon and wen I go to open it it opens up my winrar program. From here I've even tried extracting it on the desktop or into minecraft, but no matter what I do It won't open up the Forge program itself, just a bunch of weird ass files in winrar.
What am I doing wrong or what should I do after the initial download? I'm running on windows 8. The image attached is what opens up after I've downloaded Forge from the internet.
