    I'm having trouble making void metal. I've unlocked the research for it and have all the materials for it, but my automated alchemy machine refuses to make it.


    Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

    I did have an emptying transfuser on it at first, but figured I'd try hooking up the jars directly to see if that'd help, but it didn't.

    I'm having an issue with the emptying transfuser, and wasn't really able to find anything with the 'search this thread' feature of the forums.

    The alembic sends out essentia just fine into the nearby jars with the filling transfuser, but the alchemy machine won't draw any in from the jars. I've tried placing the jars directly in front of it, I've even moved the alchemy machine around the place but no change. It simply will not draw in any essentia with the emptying transfuser.


    Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Is this a bug with the current version?

    This is in Thaumcraft 5.1.6.

    It appears this mod is incompatible with the shaders mod. If I try to have both the shaders mod and this mod running, the game crashes before it gets to the main menu.


    Is there a workaround, or will I have to play without shaders?

    Unfortunately my willingness to play Minecraft has gone out the window, so it may be some time before I play this mod again. However I do want to say that reading the changelog is tempting me something fierce.


    Maybe in the future I'll pick up Minecraft, and the mod, and end up spending way too much time playing it.


    So I want to say thank-you for making Better Than Wolves. It, along with Thaumcraft, are the only two mods I've ever played that actually have a proper progression system implemented. Where you couldn't get from the start of the tech tree to the end of it in a single day. (Unlike vanilla Minecraft, where you can reach it within an hour.)

    I've also dropped a few dollars on your donation button as a way of saying thank-you for the many, many hours of entertainment you have given me.

    I have another question. I use the Galacticraft mod, is there any way to get the shaders to work on the moon? All I get, even during the moon's day cycle is total blackness.

    I'm getting this when running 10.1 Ultra, and had a similar, although not as noticeable issue when running 10.0 Ultra No Blur

    I highly doubt Flowerchild will ever update the game past 1.5.2, as he has stated in the past that there is no need for it.

    If a feature gets added to a newer version of the game that he likes, it's likely that he'll just incorporate it into the mod and stay at 1.5.2, rather than wasting a huge amount of time updating to a new version, ripping out everything, and keeping the 1 single feature that he liked.


    IIRC Flowerchild ripped out every single feature added in 1.5.2 when he updated to that version.

    I suppose bug reports get posted here?


    Bug: Held items simply disappear if killed with 1 hit (while at full health, no armour) by an Anemia with the death message: NAME was pummelled by Anemia. Items don't disappear if you get a different death message.


    Bug?: Ghost will turn invisible if you are able to simply see it, not if you are looking at it. It stays invisible until it kills you.


    I checked the wiki, it said they go invisible for 3 seconds if you look at their face, yet this one would go invisible if even looked in it's general direction. If I stared at the floor for 10 seconds, it would not become visible again. Even if I stared at a wall with it behind me, it would still be invisible when I turned back around. The only time I was able to see it was when I returned to it's location after it killed me.

    How are you meant to fight or kill them if you can't even see them? As far as I could tell, the swings of my sword were not hitting it, and if they were, because it's invisible, there was no way to know.

    Just found this mod and I'm loving it. Nice and difficult, and has given me a reason to actually build a house to keep my bed in, rather than having my bed out in the open.


    Got a couple of questions though.


    Is it normal for all my stuff I was carrying to simply vanish when killed by an Anemia during the blood hunt event?

    What is this building for, and should I be near it at the beginning of the game? Imgur Image

    Are there meant to be so many aggressive mobs spawning during the day in daylight areas? What can I do to stop them from spawning around and in my base?

    Nope. The mod is for Minecraft 1.5.2. The reason why has been explained pretty much on every page for the past few months.

    The mindset you get from this mod persists into vanilla play, at least it does for me.

    I'm still wary of dark caves, and just yesterday I scared the .... out of myself when I turned around while underwater and there was a squid next to me. :)
    Still, this mod gives so much more meaning to building anything compared to vanilla.

    Vanilla: Day 1: Everythings' Done for perpetual survival. Challenge Gone.
    BTW: Day 20: Scraping by. Challenge still very much there.

    I know the second simply isn't the case unless there's a very specific set of circumstances that have caused it which aren't in your description.

    I would think the most likely cause is an install error or that you have other mods installed which are causing the issues.

    I've seen both of these before but never reported them since they are easily avoided, but I also run CraftGuide along with my install of BTW so I can't rule out the possibility of that somehow causing the issue.

    The snow issue doesn't seem to occur often (at least I only encountered it once) and the shear thing occurred with my first pair of shears. I haven't used much on my second pair of shears nor do I carry them around with me since my base is secured against all mobs. (Except Endermen)

    When Beta 1.7.3 Original Biomes is chosen for the Old World Gen mod, will the game still generate newer game version additions, such as strongholds, villages, ores, etc?
