Code, to be pasted into a floppy with a hex editor: http://pastebin.com/qeie4dqN

If someone could help me to get this working, hopefully immibis himself, then I'd appreciate it. I can't get it to load the program from the disk.

It was mentioned a few times in the topic. Searching the topic will give you the answer, but still:
on computers. You should check it out, as it covers the basics.

    But in short:
    Assemble a pc:
Put a CPU on the ground. Connect it to a monitor and a disk drive ( either by placing them directly next to the cpu or connecting them with ribbon cables).
Make a Forth disk and while holding it, right click on the disk drive.
Right click the CPU. Press the "Reset" button, then press the "Start" button.
Right click the monitor. You may have to wait a few seconds for the text "MineOS v1.0 started" ( or something like that) to appear.
After that, right click on the disk drive to get the Forth disk out. Make an empty disk and right click with it on the disk drive.
    Right click the monitor.
    Type:
    SAVE" name"

Where you can replace name with something else.
    Hit enter. Then type:
    DISKID

Hit enter. You will see a short text appear, remember it.
Go to your minecraft forlder. Go in saves, find your save and go in its folder, then go in the folder "redpower". In it there will be atleast one file with a name "disk_<text>.img" ( where <text> is the same as the text that the ingame computer printed out. That is your file.
Either replace the file ( but keeping the name ) or edit it. Then go ingame, while the disk is in the disk drive, right click the CPU and press the "Reset" button, then the "Start" button.
    That is all.

This does not work for me. Not sure why.

Shove the floppy into the disk drive and run the command? Not sure.

Except I don't know what the command is, because I copied data into the disk from Pastebin.

Make a floppy, put it in, type DISKID, find the file of it, paste the code in. Though I dunno if that'd work from the look of the code.

OK, but now I can't figure out how to load a program from floppy. There doesn't seem to be any documentation for this.

How do I do this? I have a text editor, but where is the 'floppy' I paste it into? I created a floppy in Minecraft, and even tried using DISKNAME" to name it, but it won't create a file I can hex edit.

    EDIT: Hex editor, sorry typo.

And yes, it was absolutely horrible setting up all those cables and covers

The system is set up so that you can flick levers on the left side to set up the picture, then you can go on the computer and store it in an array like so:

Will you be posting a download of this? I'd like to experiment with it.

OK, I have all the dependencies installed, but it still doesn't work. Here's the traceback:

    [[email protected] .mcedit]$ python mcedit.py

EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot the submodule part.

I can't get it to do anything. Did an update break it?

EDIT: Nevermind, I wasn't using it right.

Linux users currently need to run from source. It's not too difficult, considering you have the easy_install command.

Well that kinda stinks. Especially since it can't autoupdate anymore.

I voted more compatibility, because this doesn't work with MCForge, which makes it so I can't use any other mods that use that.

Hey, you and book should merge your mods. I like the uranium gem, paxel, and grenade from his, but I like the mutant from yours, and the reactor gui.
