I have noticed that while i'm building about a thousand slimes spawn and make a terrible noise and i was wondering whether this would be fixed in the actual map?
I removed the bedrock floor on mine. Slimes still spawn nearby, but when they get close they fall into the void so the noise isn't so annoying.
The exit alcoves have to stay where they are. I'm going to be copy/pasting a lot of these together and linking them in a variety of ways. I don't want to have to go looking through every one for different link points.
May we instead have redstone leading to the exit alcove (where the command block will be) to trigger it that way?
Since you are on the local network, use your local IP. Start - Run - ipconfig
One of the IPv4 addresses probably starts with 192.168. Use that address instead.
with the whole 'place a bookshelf on a gold block locking mechanism the redstone torches are no longer lit above the sequence of drops you actually just completed, instead it's whichever corresponds to where you put the bookshelf that lights up
Yeah I agree this is a problem. Either just remove those torches (and the corresponding signs explaining them) and make people remember which section they've already completed (shouldn't be that difficult). Or change the bookshelves to colored wool. For example, at the end of the Travel section, give a piece of red wool. Then have a sign indicating where to place each different color wool so that it corresponds with the torches on the outside.
My map IS possible, I've tested out every drop and I could do them all.
I think your map was my favorite. Not easy but certainly doable. And the hacking theme was really clever.
I played through all of them and they were all doable (cheated a few times especially on that one with insane parkour, forget what it's called) but every step was possible. With the exception of "The End" by Pwnapplez as was already mentioned and being fixed.
-"minecarft temple" level : i dindn't find the way to survive.
If I remember correctly that one had vines on the side at the bottom.
Well, now that I submitted my drop and now that I finally have time for things OTHER than homework, here's a video of my drop
It MIGHT be a little bit too late to give people some inspiration but meh, better to make things late than to never make things at all.
I doubt I would do the extra challenges, but cool looking drop for sure!
THAT is the difference. I won because I can make a good ADVENTURE but not a good structure. Seriously, Motel CTL looks utter crap compared to some of the structures in that map.
I cannot build. That's why I don't make maps inspite of having really good & actually original story ideas. Unfortunately since I suck at building, chances are those ideas will never escape my brain :'(
I'm not great at it either (Adventure Multiplex was more of my type of thing too) but I'm giving it a go! Even if you just make an easy drop, it will fly by so nobody will notice if it's bad or not
Hi all, my YT name is Jeff3210, I made the last map in row B4, the best row
I just finished playing the map. Granted, I cheated a lot due to bugs and evil parkour, but it was a ton of fun seeing such a variety of creations and what people can accomplish in a limited 20x20x20 space.
Thanks Jig for putting everything together! That must have taken forever.

They should allow sound packs in the same way there are texture packs.

Excellent. I was wondering that too.

Good way to describe it, haha.

Without spoiling anything, it looks amazing! I would never have thought to use that theme.
